  1. Both of those lines are among the worst in the history of the NFL. This is the expansion era, so you have to figure that the worst lines in history have been constructed within the past decade or so, and you'd be hard-pressed to find two that were/are worse than that. College scouting reports don't mean jack...not even one of those guys was a 1st or 2nd round pick. This guy is promising and that guy is promising....what that means is you get your first rushing touchdown of the season in Week 7, and you throw four touchdown passes to the opposing team not even halfway through the season!
  2. Miami's offensive line: LT Damion McIntosh, Wade Smith LG Jeno James, Greg Jerman C Seth McKinney RG Taylor Whitley, Rex Hadnot RT John St. Clair, Vernon Carey Seriously, find me an O-Line that was worse over the past 80+ years, and I'll send you $1.00 via paypal. You could put Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, or Jesus Christ back there, and it still wouldn't make a difference. Wannstedt is a genius!
  3. Part of what makes Miami such a terrible team is just that...they've thrown four touchdown passes to their opponents through Week 7. Their pass defense is absolutely superb, but seriously, as a team, they were lucky just to win one game. I was actually hoping that they'd go 0-16 this year just to stick it to those 72 f***s. :fyou I'm a die-hard Bears fan, and I could talk about their Top 5 defense going into Week 7, but I won't. There are holes everywhere...there's no denying it. They are without a doubt one of the five worst teams in the league, just like the Dolphins. It helps to be humble...you don't have to be on edge at all times trying to defend a s***ty team.
  4. If possible, throw on an AC/DC album and grab a cold one before you read the following passage.
  5. Welcome back! How about them Astros? houston astros
  6. Ravens Giants Eagles Colts Vikings Panthers Rams Buccaneers Chiefs Patriots Packers Seahawks Raiders Broncos
  7. In regards to 3PTM being changed to 3PT% Let's suppose for a minute that my team goes 7 for 12 from three point range, and my opponent's team shoots 3 for 5. I'm clearly the winner in that particular category, but my opponent would win with this rule change because he'd have a slightly better shooting %. That's harsh.
  8. I see. I've only seen the show maybe three or four times, so I'm only familiar with a few of the characters.
  9. I think that my selection of this quote pretty much clinched it for me: "Eat up everyone...tonight my wife won't be the only one enjoying a pig in a blanket." I mean, on top of being lazy and addicted to TV, that is.
  10. *cough cough* red sox fans are whores *cough cough*
  11. You're not paying for that insider garbage, are you? If you are, I'd discontinue my membership, because that's some straight up amateur s***. They're only gonna make the average NFL fan dumber. You're supposed to say that it could happen. They said it like it was a sure thing -- "almost a done deal". Almost would seem to indicate that you're at least 2/3 of the way to reaching an agreement. I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that they were nowhere near reaching an agreement.
  12. Here is a song that came out when I was a junior in high school. I remember the video too. They had to edit it, of course. Pay attention to the last two lines of the first verse. They didn't edit that in the video...I remember that much.
  13. But guys like Mariotti and Rush provide zero humor. North has always been funny, though. Whether it's Ron Santo impressions, songs like "Secret Asian Man" and "The Caucasian Man Can", his Thanksgiving code of conduct, etc, he always managed to make me laugh one way or another. And again, if people want to learn about sports, you have to read and watch the games. Sports radio will not get it done...it's just way too vague. Looking for definitive sports information on the radio is almost like doing your grocery shopping at 7-11.
  14. I've been listening to Mike North since 1994. I've always maintained that comedy is the most important aspect of sports radio, and Mike has provided plenty of that over the past decade. That said, his morning show is terrible. I can't listen to it.
  15. He's a team cancer in that he's a selfish ball hog. When he has a bad offensive night, he lets if affect his defense. I don't know if it's possible to win a playoff series with this guy as one of your primary players. He's just not the type of guy that you want on you team. Here's an excerpt from that "Pro Basketball 2004-2005" mag I mentioned. It's the only one that tells the truth -- the other mags don't criticize Stackhouse. "Getting Antawn Jamison for the #5 pick was a great move. Getting to unload team cancer Christian Laettner and ball hog Jerry Stackhouse in the same trade made it the best move of the summer." "Best move of the summer"... they mean that the Wizards didn't have to give up much to get Antawn, as opposed to the Heat and Rockets, who traded away key players. That's how I interpreted it. Most people would say, obviously, that the Heat made the power move of the summer.
  16. Kwame Brown is supposed to miss the first month (12 games), however. I think that they can win 5 of those. at Mem at Cha vs Mia at Mia vs Orl at Cle vs Dal vs Bos at NJ vs Tor at Phi at Tor 5-7 going into December...they'd have to go 39-31 from there on out to finish with a 44-38 record. 38-32 actually sounds about right. But if any one of those three guys (Arenas, Jamison, Brown) gets injured for an extended amount of time after December 1, you can stick a fork in this team.
  17. Arenas missed 27 games last year. I think that he's a potential superstar going into this year...I hope that he stays healthy. Kwame Brown is still kind of raw, and I can't blame people for criticizing him. If you take a look at his game log from last year, he had some great performances, but then there were games like in Miami when he scored 0 points in 30 minutes. Dunno what happened there, but then again, he's only 22. I have a feeling that he's gonna bust out somewhat this year. And if not this year, then next year. Jamison was the 6th man of the year...he's one hell of a player. Stackhouse is one of the foremost cancers in this league, up there with Marbury, Glenn Robinson, etc. This trade was absolutely huge. And I like their second tier. Hughes scored 18 points per game last year. He can't really do much else, though. They also have Peeler, Hayes, Thomas, Dixon, Jeffries, etc. That's above average depth. 44 wins is not asking for too much from this team.
  18. Some of the brightest basketball people that I know of expect the Wizards (if healthy) to compete for that division title. And yet, most publications s*** on the Wizards. The Sporting News, in particular, has the Heat ranked 5th in their power poll, and the Wizards ranked 28th! And what's worse? The Bulls are ranked #26 overall! I mean, come on now. Everyone knows that, if not for the Bobcats, the Bulls would rank dead last for certain. Stay away from the Sporting News, at all costs. They'll make you dumber. The best publication for my money is the generic "Pro Basketball 2004-2005" with Shaq on the cover. They know what they're talking about most of the time, and they're not afraid to talk s*** about players (they specifically stated that Antoine Walker in Atlanta is like a pig in feces...lol). They don't give every team an optimistic spin. It's a damn good publication, unlike all of the major ones (Sporting News, Street & Smiths, Lindys, Sport Illustrated, etc). I read those in order to know what NOT to think.
  19. Tell me about it...that divison is beautiful. Duncan, Dirk, and Yao are three of my favorite players. I'm looking forward to a lot of those games. How about that for a law firm name? Duncan, Dirk, and Yao. It has a nice ring to it.
