There was also one where they superimposed his face onto the Rambo movie cover, but I can't find it.

Brown makes everyone around him so much better...it's not even funny. You can not replace Mike Brown. We're basically f***ed. Not that we weren't already, though.

Bears sign Russell; Waive Anderson
hammerhead johnson replied to MinnesotaSoxFan's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I know nothing about this guy, but when I looked at his height and weight, I immediately thought of Quentin Griffin (5'7, 195 lbs). I can't see how you could be pushing 200 pounds when you're only 5'7. People say that Ladanian Tomlinson and Tiki Barber are short, but those guys are both 5'10. We're talking about some straight up midgets in NFL terms. What is Russell's 40 time? -

Spiff, ya cheater You have yourself down for 13 points in week 1, but you had 12 points...just like me, Danman, ss2k4, and various others. We know what you're up to.

Hey, s*** happens. I don't think that any woman is above something like this. Tell her to keep her pills and her hygiene products right next to one another. That way, when she goes to brush her teeth or whatever, she'll see the pills. Unless she doesn't brush her teeth every day? I dunno.

You need a new kicker, correct? I recommend Paul Edinger.

Damn. Not that it compares to a $500 loss, but I flopped a full house Kings over Aces and I ended up losing about $50 to Aces over Kings recently. That's always a bummer.

God damn it, man. Ya beat me to it.

Sun-Times rips Terrell
hammerhead johnson replied to chimpy2121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I don't like Terrell either, although I have to admit that he sounded like he had some brains on the Score earlier today. I dunno if anyone heard the interview? They played it twice during the Hood/Buffone show. He went on and on about how he brings nothing but positive energy to the table, which is true. That guy is passionate to a fault. He also said that from now after he gets receptions, he'll be running back to the huddle like a chicken (s***). That got a good laugh out of all the reporters who were on the scene. The Dennis Rodman comparison really pissed him off. Maybe being compared to a complete freak will open his eyes a little. Nobody wants to be mentioned in the same sentence as Dennis Rodman. -
Excessive Speed Kills Biker, Shuts Down Stevenson
hammerhead johnson replied to Queen Prawn's topic in SLaM
She must have a ton of upside to make up for something like that if you're still with her, though. My fiance won't even drive a car on the highway, let alone hop on a bike and go 110 MPH. Was she born here, or in Europe? Polish or Italian? -
Rangers vs. Oakland fans

I think that I might consider banning him from baseball if I were Selig. -
That right there is an attempt to kill this thread. You have dummied it down significantly. Hopefully, this one will get us back on the right track.

I did watch most of the first half. Okay, obliterated might be too extreme. People keep saying that they got "blown out" or "beat down". Everywhere you look, they're saying it. Would those descriptions be acceptable? -

Here's what Anthony wrote just this past Thursday.... Ha ha, and now he's trying to tell people that he only picked them because they're "his team"....his exact words were like "Is that too complicated for you to understand??" -

You keep using the fact that they only won by 10 points as a crutch. You oughta know by now (by the age of 20...sheesh) that the final score doesn't always tell the story. 3 to 1 rushing ratios tell the story. 3 interceptions vs. none tell the story. Not scoring until 3 minutes was left in the game (garbage time) tells the story. Not giving up a single 100+ rushing yards game to a RB in 2003 and then giving up 100 in the first half of the first game of 2004 tells the story. And all of this in their own backyard..... I don't think that I'm above anyone....I'm not the one telling people "I Told You So!". You set yourself up to get ripped just about every time you post. Dickhead f***s like me? What you need to understand is that you can have Rain Man type football knowledge, but when you think that you're something special after calling a Lions victory against the freaking Bears....that's when people are going to call your bluff and you're going to have to resort to writing lame s*** in your signature about being unfairly treated and what not. You get what you deserve. -

What else would you expect from a dips***, though? We're talking about two s***ty teams going at it. The guy probably flipped a coin. His actual reasoning behind the pick was that Rogers and Williams would dominate. You guys called him out on that one, and then he came back with "Well, it's kinda hard for a rookie WR to come in and dominate...." The guy can't even see the contradiction in that. The true sign of an idiot is when one refuses to back down from an argument that he himself knows to be flawed. I said that Chris Brown rushed for almost as many yards on one run as the Dolphins did in that entire game. His response? "Yep, that happens to a team when they have to start their 3rd string RB (Minor) and play their primary back two days after he joined the team". Then why did you pick them? I said that Fiedler had to be removed in the second half. He comes back with "Well, Feely should have started in the first place!" Yeah, but he didn't. He picked the Dolphins to win knowing full well that Fiedler would be starting. He said that the Dolphins defense "dominated" the Titans offense. Wait a minute, is that 185 Titans rushing yards that I see in the box score? Chris Brown had what, a 6 yard per carry average??????? Steve McNair had a 100+ rating? WOW. This guy really sets himself up to get chastised. -

Anthony, maybe it's time for you to retire. Nobody on this board has any respect for you or your opinions. That has to suck.... -

So, basically, Chris Brown rushed for almost as many yards on one run as the Dolphins did in that entire game. -

Chris Brown rushed for 100 yards on 16 carries in the first half. You honestly do not know your football too well. -

The Titans outrushed the Dolphins 182 yards to 65. The Dolphins threw three interceptions, one of which went for a Titans touchdown. Fiedler had to be removed at halftime. They escaped being shut out at home when they scored with 3 minutes left to go in the 4th quarter. Yeah, I'd say that they got stomped. Obliterated. Blown out the f***ing water. I won't even mention your avatar or your love for Billy Koch. I like to think that I'm above such petty insults. And besides, it would be too easy. -

hammerhead johnson replied to HighHeat45's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yeah, he had the Dolphins in bold on the picks page for some reason, but all the rest were in regular font. That was one hell of a pick, Anthony. I mean, it wasn't even close. The Dolphins got obliterated. They barely escaped getting shut out in their home opener. -
I concede that the Bears will finish with one of the worst records in football this year, but god damn, Wannstedt and Jauron never had it so good... DE Alex Brown, Michael Haynes DT Tommie Harris DT Tank Johnson DE Adawale Ogunleye LB Lance Briggs LB Brian Urlacher LB Joe Odom CB Charles Tillman FS Mike Brown SS Bobby Gray, Mike Green CB Nathan Vasher, Jerry Azumah That is some core. This is how I would draft in 2005: 1st Round: Top CB available. I'm thinking that we'll get the #4 or #5 overall pick in the draft. I foresee us trading down a couple slots for extra picks & still getting the best CB in all of college football. 2nd Round: Best LB available. There should be some damn good ones available here. We might have an extra pick here depending on what we do in the first round. 3rd Round: Kicker. Edinger scares the s*** out of me. We could have a couple extra picks here if we [A] trade Anthony Thomas for a 3rd rounder and trade down a couple slots in the draft next year. If we're going to go after an expensive free agent this offseason, it ought to be another offensive lineman. We should also sign a reclamation project or two at the WR slots. Hopefully, one of these fullbacks (McKie, Johnson) works out, or otherwise, we'll have to make that position a priority in the offseason. And if we somehow land the #1 or #2 overall pick, I honestly wouldn't be opposed to drafting a QB. That's just how I feel. Hey, this ain't the Sports Bar.
