I have them in the playoffs, but losing Sapp and Lynch in addition to having an average offensive line and not much at the HB position hurts their chances of advancing through the playoffs. There's no way that they'll have homefield advantage, for one. They might be better than the Packers, for instance, but I don't see them winning a playoff game in Lambeau. And there's no way that they can handle the Eagles in their building. And I doubt that they could win in Seattle. Unless the Panthers fall flat on their faces and Tampa wins that division, I doubt that the Bucs will escape the first round.

If Houston isn't involved, I doubt that I'll even bother to watch the playoffs at all. I am sick and tired of the same old s*** (Braves, Cardinals, Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, Athletics). I can't get behind any of them.

That is a kick ass f***ing team, but get rid of the Kansas City defense. Now that they have a first place schedule, look for them to get stomped in a good number of games. That is nowhere near a good defense that they have over there.

I wasn't gonna say anything, but.... My younger brother brought a knife to school when he was in the 3rd grade at St. Ladislaus. He pulled it out on a kid who was messing with his buddy. He was suspended for a couple days & ordered to see a psychiatrist. He recently graduated from Loyola with a 3.75 GPA & he's geting ready to attend Law School. To me, pulling a knife on a kid is ten times worse than having a pellet gun in your backpack. That situation really sucked for my family because we all had to attend those visits to the psychiatrist, but looking back on it now, we laugh it off. This kid ain't gonna be able to laugh off this incident when he's looking back on it in ten years from now. Why? Because everyone is so paranoid on the strength of a few isolated instances. I checked out that "Bowling For Columbine" documentary recently, and the one point that really hits home is that the media are a bunch of fear mongerers. Take it for what it's worth, I suppose.

Yeah, but if you're the parent of kids who like to go around and make fun of others to make themselves feel better..... Lessons need to be learned on both sides. But then again, pellets only sting. Fists? They can do a hell of a lot more damage. I recommend the use of fists.

I agree that the kid should have been expelled, but.... I couldn't agree less with that decision. Expel him & let him latch on someplace else. Let's just assume that he has learned his lesson. After all, we're talking about a little kid who doesn't know any better. And besides, he never actually used it.

Kids at my high school used to carry around knives disguised as Bic pens, and this was a pretty damn good high school (Gordon Tech). And I got a pellet gun at Service Merchandise when I was like 12 or 13 years old with the $40 or $50 that I had saved up. Yes, they sold it to me when I was that young. Why? IT'S A f***ING PELLET GUN. It shoots Pellets, for Christ's sake. I'll say that things have changed...out in the burbs. That's for damn sure.
