One thing you need to know about me: I'm a snitch.
-
We were both 23 years old when we moved in together. But like I said, I had been with her for almost 5 years beforehand. 5 years=very long time. That's the difference between "Please Please Me" and "Revolution". That is more than enough time to determine what you have. I agree that 6 months is nowhere near enough time in the vast majority of cases. I've always been a guy who was interested in long term relationships, even back in grade school. Same story in her case. If this applies to the both of you, that might help you in your decision. Has she revealed anything about her past? It might be time to conduct a baseball/quickman type investigation.

I used to only post at music websites, or more specifically, forums that deal strictly with vinyl (because CDs are crap- just admit it ). I once witnessed a war similar to this one which resulted in pictures being posted of the guy everyone hated, his house, his car, his girlfriend, etc. They posted his home address, his work address, his phone numbers, etc, etc. I've seen some crazy s***, and this is beginning to remind me of that, but it's not quite as extreme. But I figured out who baseball was after Brando revealed as much. Otherwise, I'd have never figured it out because I haven't come across very many of this person's posts since I came to this site. He's definitely a quality poster from what I have seen on here, if not somewhat abrasive at times. Those who don't know will figure it out at some point. A clue for ya: He has posted at some point in this thread. Ooooooh yeeeaahh.

Does Mark have a shot at 20 Wins...
hammerhead johnson replied to AngelasDaddy0427's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He definitely has a shot. There are 78 games left this year. I figured that 18 wins would be the ceiling after he only won one game in the month of April, though. -

You're Mike Pushkin, aren't you? I swear, that sounds just like you. And that caulfield guy said that the actual Bushkin was a Russian poet. Huh. Maybe I'll conduct an investigation......or not.

No question. The Dallas Mavericks, Kansas City Chiefs, and many other offensive powerhouses will NEVER win championships without defense, but they can and have led their respective leagues in victories druing the regular season.

Wow. Where's a "Scratches His Head" smiley when you need one? That's Smiley like John, for those that don't know. I checked out that board once or twice over the years & I never found the motivation to register. What a sad bunch.

Great avatar! I'm a big fan!

Wow. You ought to be an editor. Seriously. That's an eye for detail, right there. I couldn't have written a summary like this one if you gave me a week.

Defense will always prevail. In baseball, starting pitchers are your most important defensive players, similar to the goalie in hockey and soccer, the center in the NBA, and the #1 corner in the NFL (although arguments can be made for other positions in the NFL). Obviously, the better the personnel at the key defensive slots, the better the team. Check your championship history there, bro. You're arguing against defense here. What would Mr. Miyagi say? :headshake What you are arguing, in essense, is that exceptions occur. We all know this. But in the vast majority of cases, defense prevails.

Two realistic Guys I'd like to Add....

We could give them Gary Majewski, perhaps. -
I second that.

In our particular case, home field advantage is huge. If you subtract the games versus Minnesota, what is our road record? It's ugly. What I'd like to see: 1st round Sox vs. Red Sox or Angels (Hopefully the Angels) Yankees vs. As (Maybe the Athletics can finally beat those capitalist pigs) 2nd Round Sox vs. As (Marte will have to throw at Chavez again ) Homefield advantage in the 1st round against the Angels or Red Sox & Garcia's familiarity with the Athletics hitters in the 2nd round are vital. That's three starts for Freddy in that series, if need be. If we get the Yankees in the 2nd round, well, there's really no need for me to elaborate on the potential outcome. And let's not even get into potential NL opponents in the World Series. :fthecubs

"Mulder is decent"........sounds like something a Cubs fan would say. You have to admit.
-
You forgot about Schilling. Yes, Pedro, Schilling, Mulder, Hudson, Brown, Mussina, and Vazquez are all hall of fame caliber starters. Caliber being the key word. And you don't agree with that? Come October, Mussina and Brown will be fine. Mussina is a first ballot hall of famer, and Brown would have been if not for all of the injuries throughout the nineties. Vazquez is phenomenal. He'll only get better. Those 7 that I listed (Pedro, Schilling, Mulder, Hudson, Brown, Mussina, and Vazquez) are seven of the Top 15 starters in baseball. That is damn near HALF of the best 15 starters in baseball spread out over 3 teams!!!!!! That is our playoff competition. Now please, continue with your "I'm only scared of the Angels talk". That Angels rotation is average or slightly above average. Their bread and butter in 2002 was that bullpen and offense.
-
Interesting. Here's what I'm scared of: HALL OF FAME CALIBER STARTERS The Red Sox, Athletics, and Yankees have them. But the only team that you're scared of is the Angels, the team with average starting pitchers? Hmmmmmmmm.

I mentioned Greg Zaun back in June on the strength of his 850 OPS vs. RHP and his defensive capabilities. Defense is what has kept him in this league for what seems like forever (damn near ten years). He can do some things with the bat all of a sudden, but maybe it's just that park up there in Toronto, as Greg Myers hit damn near .310 last year with a s***load of ABs. As far as Catalanato is concerned, people on soxtalk have been talking about acquiring that guy ever since we got swept up there in that hellhole in Toronto. -
I've been with my girlfriend for nearly 7 years now. I purchased a house back in the summer of 2002 & we've been living in sin ever since. We are now engaged to be married, however. But it depends on the individual. I knew after maybe two months into our relationship that I'd be with her for the rest of my life.

Happy Birthday!

There is no way in hell that fathom is a Sox fan. When we start winning again, you won't hear from him.

Wow. When things go bad, well, then it's fathom's time to shine. Check out this guy's post history. What a s***head.
