QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:37 AM) But Garnett has more talent in his pinky than Chandler. Jermaine O'Neal is also much better. Maybe if Chandler was more physical, he wouldn't need any more size. But he isn't physical. He doesn't even know how to go to the basket except when he's going for a tip-in or a putback. And why does Chandler flex? It's not like he has anything but twig arms... Ahhh, Chandler frustrates me. Mainly because Elton Brand was stupidly traded for him. Not to mention the fact that Chandler is making over $60 million dollars and looks like a massive bust. Awesome pictures. Hey, don't put too much weight in his offensive game. He can't really dribble or shoot or anything like that. -

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:24 AM) Chandler is 7'1". He really shouldn't be only 235 pounds. He still isn't in NBA shape even after 5 years in the NBA. I laugh everytime I see a shot of his biceps, or lack thereof. Kevin Garnett is a monster defender/rebounder, and he weighs only 220 pounds. Jermaine O'Neal is also an amazing defender/rebounder, and he weighs 242 pounds. Those guys are both Top 10 defenders in this league out of the PF slot and they ain't working with much in the biceps department. They're just slim giants with superior quickness, length, and aggressiveness. You're muscles don't have to be bulging in order for you to contain PFs and alter a ton of shots when you're that tall and that quick. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:22 AM) Its more that the team was stuck when the whole Curry thing went down. We don't have anyone else with that height so they had to try a ton of lineups. I don't blame them one bit. They got put in a tough spot and Tyson is the most likely to be a center on the squad. Right on. Paxson should have had a back-up plan, though. f***ing Malik Allen ain't cutting it. -

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:12 AM) We will have to sign a real center so Chandler can stick to PF. Real centers ain't 235 pounds. He should have never been put in the C slot, but Paxson thought that it would be a good idea. After 5 games, him and Skiles should have come to the conclusion that he is not cut out to play center at his weight. But no, we had to wait 40 games for these guys to recognize that s***. -

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:03 AM) wish he would get a couple more blocks. f*** a statsheet, though. Three airballs forced ain't gonna show up in a box score. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 06:48 AM) Man Chandler had another really solid game tonight. So did the Bulls. Word. I counted three airballs put up by Chris Bosh when Chandler was guarding him. Those are blocks in my book. Now that he's back in his element at the PF slot, the Bulls should be a hell of a lot better. And Luol Deng? God damn does he continue to impress. Why is he only getting 11 shots per game? -

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) All players past their prime got worse. That's why they're past their prime. Not necessarily. Some guys get worse, and then some guys get worse, if you know what I'm saying. I'd cut of a player's prime years at the age of 32. Some guys continue to kick ass into their mid-30s, or even late 30s. -

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) Thing is, how much of it is diaw being a product of d'antoni's system and playing with Nash? They're a much better defensive team right now than they were last year, and Diaw is a huge part of that (along with Bell and Thomas). Last I checked, they led the NBA in least turnovers allowed. That is a category that the Spurs usually own people in, but the Suns have even better than San Antonio this year because of their 2-3-4 combo of Bell/Diaw/Marion. Without that specific area of defensive excellence, they wouldn't be a contender to meet (get whooped by) the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals. But there's no question that the presence of Nash on the offensive end has contributed to Diaw's impressive statline of 12/6/6. -

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) You can put Tyson Chandler on the players who Got worse List. Yeah, although it would be strange to put a guy who just turned 23 on a list like that considering that he's a good 3 or 4 years away from his prime. A list like that is a good idea, though. It would have to be a guy who is in his prime or past his prime, IMO. I'd probably start with Lorenzen Wright, who actually seemed to care last year. -

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) Diaw or david west. James numbers just alot but anyone's would going to a team like the raptors... he has always been a good point guard before this season anyway... but he is showing he is capable of more than backing up. Yep, I was impressed with Mike James when he was on the Pistons. Good defender, good ball-handling skills, excellent quickness, etc. I dunno why the Rockets would swap him for Rafer Alston. -

I chose Boris Diaw. The guy has been amazing, and he pretty much came out of nowhere. All that I knew about him before was that he had a lot of defensive upside. I never figured that he'd be flirting with triple doubles on a regular basis. -
Samuel Dalembert (Leads NBA in Blocks-Per-Game at 3.4, 10 RPG) Boris Diaw (12 PPG, 6 APG, 6.5 RPG, 1.2 BPG, 50% FG) Eddie Griffin (#2 in NBA in BLK/PF Ratio, #6 in BPG) Mike James (17 PPG, 5 APG, 47% FG, 83% FT, 43.5% 3PT) Chris Kaman (11 PPG, 9 RPG, 1.8 BPG, 51% FG) Zaza Pachulia (#2 in NBA in Offensive Rebounding) Smush Parker (#9 in NBA in Steals, 12 PPG, 3 APG, 3 RPG) David West (17 PPG, 8 RPG, 1 SPG, 1 BPG, 51% FG, 84% FT) Delonte West (11 PPG, 4.2 APG, 4.2 RPG, 1.2 SPG, 52% FG, 85% FT)

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) Nah, I don't think you're dull at all HHJ. Nice one, although Sean Penn is probably old enough to be my father.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) Sean Penn is the most talented actor in his age group. Damn, and what does that say about his age group? I think that Sean Penn is incredibly dull, but maybe it's just me. He was okay in the 80s, I suppose.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Sean Penn sucks. The fat brother is always better. Randy Quaid, John Belushi, Daniel Baldwin, etc.

I guess you can say that the Raptors got raped. I'd like him if he wasn't such a scumbag on a personal level. He has all of these petty little beefs with everybody. Does he have even one friend in the NBA? -
I'm gonna miss you, Jimmy.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 22, 2006 -> 03:29 AM) Tyson Chandler played a hell of a game tonight. 15 points, 7-9 shooting, 14 boards (8 offensive), 2 blocks and a steal I didn't get to see the game last night. Did he do that out of the PF slot? It looks like he started there if his box score slot is any indication, although I've been looking at various sites (basketballboards, realgm) and I can't find any info. -
QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 22, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) Where does this guy get off classifying Blonde on Blonde as a rock album? And what the hell is it doing in the company of those 9 lesser albums? Bob, you have such a unique way of getting your point across. I have become a huge Bob Dylan fan over the course of the past year or so, and it's almost entirely due to the bootlegs. Personally, I think that "Blonde On Blonde" is terrible, but that's just me. I traded for a good 15 concerts from 1966 before I actually sat down to listen to even one of them, and now they're just gonna take up space in my office. Looking back, I realize that his 1966 offerings held me back from exploring the rest of his catalog. I put this 7CD set together for my father-in-law this past December from a collection of 150+ bootlegs and all of his official albums: Bob Dylan Volume 1 1962-1963 Demos 1. Walkin' Down The Line 2. Girl Of The North Country 3. Farewell 4. Don't Think Twice 5. Boots Of Spanish Leather 6. Hard Rain 7. I'd Hate To Be You 8. Masters Of War 9. John Brown 10. Talkin' John Birchard Blues 11. Guess I'm Doing Fine 12. Paths Of Victory 13. Tomorrow Is A Long Time 14. Baby Let Me Follow You Down 15. When The Ship Comes In Bob Dylan Volume 2 1962-1964 Officials 1. Chimes Of Freedom 2. Mr. Tambourine Man 3. Girl Of The North Country 4. I Don't Believe You 5. It Ain't Me Babe 6. Boots Of Spanish Leather 7. When The Ship Comes In 8. Gates Of Eden 9. The Times 10. With God On Our Side 11. Only A Pawn In Their Game 12. Masters Of War 13. Hard Rain 14. Don't Think Twice 15. Lay Down Your Weary Tune Bob Dylan Volume 3 1965 Live Tour 1. Don't Think Twice (Manchester 5/7/65) 2. To Ramona (Sheffield 4/30/65) 3. She Belongs To Me (Los Angeles 9/3/65) 4. Gates Of Eden (Manchester 5/7/65) 5. It Ain't Me Babe (London 5/10/65) 6. If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Manchester 5/7/65) 7. Love Minus Zero (Newcastle 5/6/65) 8. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (London 5/10/65) 9. The Times (Manchester 5/7/65) 10. With God On Our Side (Manchester 5/7/65) 11. Mr. Tambourine Man (Newport 7/25/65) 12. Boots Of Spanish Leather (London 6/8/65) 13. One Too Many Mornings (London 6/8/65) 14. Like A Rolling Stone (Newport 7/25/65) Bob Dylan Volume 4 1965 Outtakes 1. Instrumental #1 2. You Don't Have To Do That 3. Please Crawl Out Your Window 4. If You Gotta Go, Go Now 5. She Belongs To Me 6. Visions Of Johanna #1 7. Love Minus Zero 8. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue 9. Instrumental #2 10. Midnight Train 11. I'll Keep It With Mine 12. Visions Of Johanna #2 13. Desolation Row 14. Miami Sales Message 15. Like A Rolling Stone (Mono) 16. Positively 4th Street (Mono) Bob Dylan Volume 5 1967 Officials & Basement Tapes 1. I'm A Lonesome Hobo 2. As I Went Out One Morning 3. I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine 4. Dear Landlord 5. I Pity The Poor Immigrant 6. All Along The Watchtower 7. Drifter's Escape 8. I'll Be Your Baby Tonight 9. Wicked Messenger 10. Frankie Lee & Judas Priest 11. French Girl (Outtake) 12. Four Strong Winds (Outtake) 13. One Single River (Outtake) Bob Dylan Volume 6 1969-1971 Officials, Outtakes, Live 1. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (Official) 2. Mr. Bojangles (Outtake) 3. I Threw It All Away (Outtake) 4. Can't Help Falling In Love (Outtake) 5. Cupid (Outtake) 6. Big Yellow Taxi (Outtake) 7. Gates Of Eden (Outtake) 8. Ballad Of Ira Hayes (Outtake) 9. Marianne (Outtake) 10. Love Minus Zero (MSG 1/8/71) 11. Hard Rain (MSG 1/8/71) 12. Blowin' In The Wind (MSG 1/8/71) Bob Dylan Volume 7 1974 Officials, Originals, Outtakes 1. Idiot Wind (Original) 2. You're A Big Girl Now (Original) 3. Tangled Up In Blue (Original) 4. You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome (Official) 5. Shelter From The Storm (Official) 6. Simple Twist Of Fate (Official) 7. Up To Me (Outtake) 8. Buckets Of Rain (Official) 9. Lily, Rosemary, And The Jack Of Hearts (Original) 10. Tangled Up In Blue (Outtake) 11. Shelter From The Storm (Outtake) I can't stand "Nashville Skyline" either, but the outtake for "I Threw It All Away" is great because he sings it in his natural voice. As far as my favorite Dylan material is concerned, it's a tie between the 1965 live stuff and the 1974 NY studio sessions. The Witmark Demos from 1962-1963 and the John Wesley Harding tracks would come immediately after those two.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) BbBBBbBBbBillups! That's exactly right. Nash is a strong candidate too, but his Assist-To-Turnover ratio was only like 2.70 last I checked. He leads the league in turnovers. Chauncey has a 5-To-1 Assist To Turnover Ratio, which is good enough for #1 in the NBA. It's all the more impressive when you consider that he is one of their primary scoring options. He is also as clutch as they come in the 4th Quarter. I used to underrate Chauncey. Not any more. -
