I was hoping that Pods or Rowand would pull back and swing away with Figgins playing so far in. Hopefully, it would've blooped over his head. That's the chance you take. Instead, Pods got caught looking. A pathetic AB.

-Of course they're going to lose some. If they were to go undefeated in the playoffs all the way they would have won 16 in row, dating back to the regular season. Let's be real. -Contreras was still solid. At one point retiring 11 in a row. He should be rearing to go for Game 5.
-
We can't be perfect every game. -But Podsednik's "bunt" was pathetic, then he was caught looking. -Rowand squaring around early, letting Figgins move in far enough to make the play on Ozuna -Why was Dye bunting to lead off the 6th? -Why didn't Contereras get the runner at home? All these things were on my mind last night as the Sox looked like the team that was flying around the country with no rest. Let's get them tonight.

Tonight is the biggest game the franchise is playing in a very long time. It is a must win. Going to the West Coast, down 2-0 will not cut it. I'm putting all my faith in Mark. I'll be there, in person. Sec 135, Row 14. Cheering as loud as I can. Complete with my Buehrle jersey. We can do it. I think the 3 days off might have made the Sox a little rusty. The lack of fundamentals last night really showed. Hopefully, it'll all be regained tonight.

I said this in Game 1 of the ALDS and I'll say it again. Jose needs to try to cut down on the wild pitches. Those are the killers. Especially with guys like Figgins and Cabrera. The last thing we need is giving these guys gift runs.

He sure says it like it is.

What I want to know is. What is the song played when Paulie comes to bat? Sounds like Metallica, but what song.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) How can nobody get #5, its the double tag! I must've read it wrong. Of course I know that. Fisk tagging out Dale Berra and Bobby Meacham at Yankee Stadium at home plate. Which I believe is the same game that Tom Seaver won his 300th.

I voted for neither.

Angels also have a fully rested bullpen thanks to Santana. So let's knock Byrd out in the second or third and f*** up everything for Scioscia!! Also, if Figgins gets on 1st--- with Contreras pitching, it won't be long 'til he's at 2nd or even 3rd.

I would rather Vizcaino be left off. He the more useless one. El Duque is kind of taking over his role. If I were Ozzie, I'd add McCarthy and take Vizcaino off or add another position player (i.e. Gload).

The easiest Halloween costume I ever did was Bartman back in 2003. -Big headphones -Black sweatshirt -Glasses -(I had to borrow a Scrubs hat) All my Cub fans friends thought it was funny, but I knew inside they were offended. This year, I have no idea.

He's the best ex-softball player, backup catcher the Sox have ever had. Go The Widge!!

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) Just keep Michael Jordan away from the field. ....And Blago Damn Cub Fan. -
I see that Christensen and Yan weren't on the 1st round roster for the Angels. I also realize that Escobar was hurt for awhile for the Angels. I wonder if Sciosia will send him out in Game 2. Otherwise, they're screwed. Me likey. Let's do this Count!!!

Lucky bastard. I've never even come close to catching ONE in my life!!

Those last three weeks of September we were all on edge. I was nervous as all hell last week. It was nice to have a break for awhile and get my nerves back in order. Tomorrow, it's starts all over again. Thank God, I'm young.

Sweet Lou will be in the booth with McCarver and Joe Buck.

To both of my grandfathers. Who lived, breathed and died White Sox. Both lived on the South Side of Chicago. Only witnessed the 1959 World Series. This is for both of you. Hopefully, I will salute both of you two more times. To my dad, who witnessed his first playoff series victory in his lifetime. I can't wait to attend Game 2 of the ALCS with him on Wednesday.

The more I think about it, I'd rather face Anaheim. 1) No Colon until at least Game 3 2) MLB, FOX and ESPN would be pissed off that their precious darlings wouldn't be there. 3) Something about the Yankees and the postseason that scares me.
-
We've been pretty good against the ??? this year. I like our chances. Also, liking our chances with Jose pitching this Game.
-
This is great news. I have tickets for Game 2. Instead of being in limbo as to what day I'll be going, now I know. Even better, I get to see Buehrle pitch. Sec 135, row 14

DUQUE KONERKO I'm back. Thought I'd miss all the excitment. But after being out of town for a wedding yesterday, there was a big break before the reception. We were all gathered in a bar watching the last few innings. All my Cub fans friends were congratulating me the rest of the night. Now, I find out from my dad that I'll be attending Game 2 of the ALCS with him and my brothers.
