QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) I see no reason to play Carl, none at all. He has bottomed out this month, and looks damn near lost from the left side of the plate. I agree. Him and, probably, AJ need the days off more than anyone. Everett needs to learn to go the other more. You don't have to try for a homer every f***ing at bat! When he's batting LH, those low, inside pitches are murder on him anyway. I believe he was 0-for-11 in the series. As for rest of the lineup, Crede just got back so he'll be playing. IF we clinch the division that's when rest will be coming.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) MB has been garbage lately as well. Look at his game on friday. 2 leads, lost them both. Something is wrong with Mark, and he needs to figure it out pronto. It's those damn lights in centerfield.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) The new Family Guy DVD looks f***ing great. Are you talking about "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" ? because I can't wait to see that. The Simpsons last night. 17 seasons? When is it going to be enough. Out of 23 or so episodes a year, I'm sure 1 or 2 will be make me chuckle. I stopped laughing at it awhile ago.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) This year, he's about as bad as it gets. Expect him to be Cy Greinke that day then.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) We also face Wood who we beat 1-0, JP Howell who owned us last week against the Royals. Our offense needs to get a pair and start f***ing hitting. Greinke on Thursday. Who also isn't that bad of a pitcher. Johan pitches Wednesday. Twins have Thursday off. So we'll probably get Liriano. So expect another case of "deer-in-the headlights" by the Sox hitters. Remember, the Sox don't have scouts on any of these pitchers.

I simply have had enough of El Duque. McCarthy is the answer. Hernandez is turning the 5th man into the black hole again. The Angels were teeing off like it was batting practice yesterday. Maybe Hernandez is hurt again and isn't saying anything, I don't know. Maybe it's arthritis. Who knows. But I'm scared to death that IF we make the playoffs this 80 year-old will be on the mound. McCarthy shut down the Angels. Yeah he gave up a bomb to Vlad, but who hasn't. Enough of this respect s***. The lead is dwindling by the day. Do you want to win this thing, Ozzie? We've seen what McCarthy can do against Texas & Anaheim, even Boston. We've also seen what El Duque can do against Texas and Anaheim. There's quite a sharp contrast. Enough of this rambling.

God this game is a yawner. The only good thing is watching McCarthy pitch. Time to do some errands. 5 1/2 game lead here we come. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) It might be hard for him to make changes from the unemployment line. If the Sox fail to make the playoffs, I have a feeling he'll be the scapegoat, and not Ozzie. Williams should not be the scapegoat. He constructed this team as best as he could. Ozzie should take the fall. -

Shocking. Runner in scoring position, less than two out. Can't drive him home. If this series is a so-called "playoff preview" then it's going to be one fun series!! -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Who's allowing more points today: The White Sox or Bears? Good question. It's going to be a close call. But I know for a fact that the Bears will SCORE more times. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) I also serverely disagree with the plan of putting McCarthy into the game as a long reliever. If he's going to pitch, it should be as a starter. No reason to put him in a situation where he doesn't have a lot of experience just because Duque is washed up. I agree. By the time he's in the game, it'll be out of reach anyway. Ozzie's almost expecting El Puque to fail. -

I have a bad feeling about that one. But first things first..... Looking forward to seeing the green unis tonight. Sox are 4-2 v. Anaheim this year. Although, most of that the Halos were Vlad-less. -
I'm surprised AJ gets another day off
