Maybe the Sox should let Swish play 1B every day....trade Paulie (hurts to say that) and pick up at least 1 other starter. Paulie going to Angels for Figgins and E. Santana would work for me....though I'd rather see Paulie go to NL because to me he seems like the type of player that would go to anohter team and kill us on a regular basis.

As usual.....a trade goes through and this board is 50-50 on it. Either KW is a moron or a genius. Personally....I like the trade and think that if Swish could hit 20-30 in the pitcher's park in Oakland he should be able to hit more than a few at the Cell. If my memory serves, he can play center and to be honest......he's only been in the league for 3 full years. His average has gone up every year,his OBP has gone up every year, slg has been in middle to upper .400's What I really wonder is if Swish goes out next year and hits .260 with 30 HR and 90 RBI's how long will it take Jay Moron-atti to write how KW got duped by the great Billy Beane again.

I'm not sure how the movie was recieved or reviewed here but i finally got around to seeing Superbad and i got to say i thought (with the exception of a few scenes) it sucked bigtime. Maybe cause I'm older or what but the amount of swearing got to the point that it wasn't funny , it was annoying. I thought McLovin's storyline with the cops was pretty funny at times but the rest was stupid. Thankfully, it only cost me a dollar.

in the Sun-Times De Luca mentions the Marlins were looking for a catching prospect which the Sox didn't have to offer. They were waiting for a counteroffer from the Marlins when the quick deal was announced. If that is how it happened, if you like KW or not....there wasn't much he could do. He's sitting in his room waiting for a call back when he hears about the deal. You can't make the other teams deal with you. IIRC, i read somewhere that the Sox and Hunter all but signed a deal when Hunter flew out to keep his meeting with the Angels. then...BAM...the deal is done. Again....what could KW do???? he's makes an offer..if Hunter or Cabrera came back to KW and said 'Hey..this is what i was offered by Detroit. Want to beat this??" and the Sox declined then that would be one thing but i think twice now KW thought he had a deal all but done then Poof it was gone.

Just heard Joe Cowley on the Score talking about the Cabrera trade and he gave Kenny a bit of credit. Joe said the Sox had the best 4 person package for Cabrera on the table but the Marlins came back tried to throw Dontrelle Willis in the package and would take another couple of prospects for him. Ozzie told KW that Willis is only throwing 85 mph and not 95 like he should be and there is something wrong with him....he didn't want Willis. Kenny went back to the Marlins but the Marlins said that Willis was to be part of the package or no deal. Kenny decided not to give up prospects for a pitcher who was hurt or lost whatever he had.
