The Rockies are throwing Carlos Gonzalez's name out there. They need young pitching... this could be option to add that lefty bat to our lineup. The dude can play! Also, Kubel seems to be coveted by White Sox management. Bruce Levine thinks something may happen there.... An outfield with Kubel, Gonzalez and Rios wouldn't be too bad. It would also balance our lineup as well.....

I think a major trade is going to happen soon. It has been way too quiet on these parts for over a month! Hahn has pretty solid pieces to move in Viciedo, Beckham, Floyd and possibly De Aza... I expect 2 out of those 4 to be dealt soon. My guess would be Viciedo and Floyd will be the ones traded. BUT to go along with this thread- here is my 2013 starting lineup if the season started today: De Aza CF Beckham 2B Rios RF Dunn DH/1B Konerko 1B/DH Ramirez SS Keppinger 3B Viciedo LF Flowers C

I do think the White Sox will get another OF. I haven't read through this entire post, is there validity to this Upton discussion or is it just merely speculation? I have been an Upton fan for a long time. He would be a great addition to this lineup. I'm assuming they can get decent chips back for a Viciedo deal which can eventually lead to a bigger deal.... It is interesting to say the least that they are floating both him and De Aza around right now... Whats the latest with the AJ talks?

A part of me wants to give Flowers a full season to prove his worth. Another part of me is really scared of all those strike outs coming from his at bats. We already have that issue with Dunn. If AJ's price-tag comes down, lock him up! If not, I guess we should take our chances with Flowers....

I do think we will have a completely different outfield this year but i do NOT want to spend 100 million on Hamilton.

I wouldn't mind dealing Viciedo because OF spots are easier to fill than infield spots and we do have some OF talent in the farm if they chose to go that route.

One thing I love about this organization is the amount of respect they give the fans. The fact he took time to answer some fan questions is really cool. The fact that they lowered prices on tix/parking is super cool too. I truly love being a fan of this organization and would love to see them bring home (at least) one more for J.R.! On a side note- it seems like they are looking hard for a new 3b. This is awesome! My biggest fear was for them to take another chance with Morel or a cheap flash in the pan type option. I really hope they do look into young talent like Chase Headley. But if the return price is too high, I wouldn't mind them bringing back Youk at the right price. I just have a feeling that Hahn will pull off some blockbuster soon in regards to addressing the 3b spot. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the following dealt at this point in a mega deal (Ramirez, Beckham, Viciedo, Floyd or Rios)

This is a solid deal. They are not breaking the bank on a guy like Greinke and Peavy can have similar results. I really hope the dude can stay healthy like he did in 2012. And call me crazy (not call me maybe), but I also like the Floyd deal. There is a premium on starting pitching these days and Gavin finished the season strong. As a 4th starter in this rotation, he can do very good things. Next on the list: 1) Address the catcher spot. Do they re-sign AJ? 2) Whats going on with 3b? (re-sign Youk, sign a veteran like Chavez or even go after ARod?) 3) Sell high on Rios or Dunn? 4) Bullpen help? Do we stick with Reed or do we go after a guy like Soria who is coming off major surgery? I LOVE HOTSTOVE season!

There is no question that Ozzie lost his touch. I am curious to see what Robin can do with a great starting rotation and more talented players.... he clearly won more games with less talent in 2012. I wonder what Hahn will do to build on that?

The Sox experience is great the way it is. Obviously having restaurants and bars around the ballpark would be HUGE for fan postgame experiences. But the bicardi at the park was a step in that direction. I love what the organization is doing to accommodate the fan base for all ages. They lowered prices on parking and tickets. That is fantastic! What this organization needs is a right handed ACE and a 3B. I wouldn't mind a veteran closer as well.
