QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 07:24 PM) Read the boards, a ton of people want to trade him, and it completely bewilders me. And as much as I love Bobby, he's not bringing 3 quality prospects back. No way. People want to trade him if we get a s***load back in return, and if you said we arent going to get a s***load back than there is no reason to worry about it.

umm very few people have even brought up the thought of trading Jenks and those that have were quickly verbally abused for such a though, so what exactly is this thread trying to prove?

Scott Boras wants a Nine-Game World Series!
GoodAsGould replied to RibbieRubarb's topic in The Diamond Club
It is an interesting idea but I personally rather just keep it the same, i actually would want to shorten the season by 12-15 games too. -
Another Paxson "treadmill" season ahead
GoodAsGould replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
If we can get Gasol without ripping apart this team i would be ecstatic. Like some deal based around Nocioni, Gordon, and Noah? or something like that... -
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 01:45 PM) Just have to hope there's nothing serious going on in terms of health or family things. Can we trade them Ozzie and Uribe for Bettancourt? Id rather have Jose Lopez

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) A good teammate punches guys on his own team? That's news to me. Im going from what Blazer fans say themselves, I also never heard of the incident.... if it was darius miles than yes
-
I just like to say Randolph is not thought of a bad teamate, from all reports I read he is a very good teamate and fits well with teamates. Now on the court he is kind of a blackhole on offense as in once the ball goes to him the movement stops. That doesnt change his criminal record or his poor defense though.

I didnt even notice the whitesox hat, now im going to have to watch it again

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 12:32 PM) Paxson was on the radio this morning and said when deciding who to take at #9 they had three guys in mind. Noah, Hawes and Yi. If Yi hits the trade block due to pressure from the Chinese government I could definitely see Paxson making a push for him. I would assume us and golden state would be the 2 major players for him. -

In the 2nd round with the 49th overall pick I dont know how people can "laugh" at the Aaron Gray pick. For where we got him thats an excellent pick. Also I am very high on JamesOn Curry, I think he can be a pretty damn good player in the NBA. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 07:30 PM) Congrats to John Paxson, you now have Tyson Chandler....except not nearly as good. At least Tyson was tall and had projectable NBA ability to rebound. This has to be the worst draft pick by a Chicago team since the McNown and Enis days. I officially am against John Paxson, what an idiot. Umm Noah is a legit 7 footer and one of his strongest assets is his rebounding. If you dont like the pick thats fine but what you said just doesnt make sense. -
QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) If I compare Jon Garland to anyone in our system, it is Lance Broadway. Their minor league numbers are very similar, IMO. They arent really comparable at all either. Garland was a much better prospect and has better stuff too.

Couldnt pick a better team to hit it against , congrats Thomas

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) Over on RealGm there is some talk of a Gordon to the Hawks for the #3 pick. The Bulls would than select Horford at 3 and take a SG at 9 (maybe Corey Brewer??). That would be interesting, Id have to assume the Bulls would have to be verry high on Horford to do that. Im not sure if I would like it because even if Brewer does fall to us he cant shoot nearly as well as Gordon. Is that guy from Oregon who won the 3 point contest projected to go before our 2nd round picks?
-
I think some people under-rate Noah. Noah can actually palm a ball, thats all that needs to be said that is different between the two

thanks all , unfortanetely I cant party hard today because I share my birthday with my dad so have to spend it alll with him lol

Brewers Interested in Buehrle?
GoodAsGould replied to bigred3535's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
QUOTE(jhart05 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:14 AM) Looks like your team is giving him an extension anyway, so the trade rumors with him are probably dead. You could still send that lefty up our way thou. that was proved false, from all other accounts he is still very available for trade. -
Yankees Interested in Konerko?
GoodAsGould replied to Rockabilly's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
Ive never been a huge Konerko fan so Id actually be ok with dealing him. But you have to figure if we deal Konerko we are going in a complete rebuild where 3/5 of our rotation has to go too. -
He is saying Milledge isn't as great as you're making him out to be and is saying you're just as much of a homer as you're accusing many posters on this site of being.
-
While obviously some fans here have been ridiculous with their proposals, you 2 are being ridiculous too in the opposite way. You are not going to get a SP of Buehrle's calibur regardless if its a rental or not without giving something up. 2 good prospects is prob what its going to take with maybe a 3rd decent prospect. And if your counting on Pedro, Glavine, Perez, and El Duque to be your starters in the playoffs go enjoy an early exit. Maine is nice but still I would want him to be at most my 2nd if not 3rd starter in a playoff scenario.

Who will you most blame for MB being traded?
GoodAsGould replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I blame Jerry Reinsdorf the most, if only he had a few more billion in the bank he would spend more money -

Miscellaneous "White Sox" Trade Notes
GoodAsGould replied to Kalapse's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) I have a problem with comments like this. Who do you "want" to pitch for the White Sox? Do you think there are tons of great pitchers out there we are going to acquire in these trades?? If the Sox tear up this rotation that will weaken the only strength of the team this year. The Royals have proven a team can suck for 10 years, not just one year. Well for one if we are tearing apart this team im expecting some pitching prospects in return. 2nd I expect Floyd to be promoted once a starter gets moved so thats 3 spots filled already. So your looking at filling 2 spots and thats only assuming we do indeed trade all of our starters besides Garland/Danks. -
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 24, 2007 -> 09:19 PM) If it's Crisp and Hansen, then I don't see how KW will still be the Sox's GM after the season ends. I can understand not getting what I want for Buehrle, but if thats the trade than KW should never be a GM in baseball ever again and be fired by the whitesox immediately.
-
I wouldnt give up Danks only because he has shown success at the major league level. And for the yanks Id have no problem in dealing Melky as part of a package but no way on Hughes, he was a top5 prospect in all of baseball going into the season thats different from any of the redsox prospects.
