QUOTE(Stocking @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) Yea they would hate the idea of gaining a new audience. you get a quote of the month for that asinine statement. ??? The main audience has either seen the old movie or read the book. Or at the very least knows what happens in the original. Im not stating my opinion part of what made the original and book great was the ending thats a fact not an opinion. Also I guess i can agree on the fact how at the end the neighborhood seem untouched. But than again that could be part of their plans. Let all the people go where they think its safe, it would be easier to kill people or catch them in big groups. For examply earlier in the movie that one city seemed untouched with all the people getting on the boat. Than all of a sudden like 3-4 of them ambushed the people effectively killing or capturing almost all of them.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Zone rating is how much ground you cover not range factor. Crede's range factor = .831. Inge's range factor = .799. No Zone rating is how you field the ground that you cover. Range Factor obviously is how much ground you cover. Unless your saying Dallas Mcpherson has the best range of a 3B which I doubt very much so. Zone rating. The percentage of balls fielded by a player in his typical defensive "zone" so range wise: Crede = 2.59 Inge = 3.31 proving my point for the ground he covers Crede is awesome but compared to a lot of 3B he doesnt cover much ground.

I remember reading something about that a while ago. I dont think he got drafted but does anyone know anything about this because I thought Pax was looking into him.

Jugg I think you are a little off. The process of teleportation like you said is basicly taking you all apart and than putting you back together in another place. You cant put something together if you dont have the parts to do it though.

QUOTE(PutItOnTheBoard @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) i gotta say man thanks for the comments.....i cant believe you would be rooting for us in the playoffs...but i guess you may not have the same hatred for our team that we have for yours...beating us out of the division the last 4 years.....anyways thanks for the kind words LAST 3 YEARS!!!!!! :finger :puke :headshake

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 05:28 PM) JR just said on AM1000 that if KW wanted someone he couldn't imagine money being a problem. What if KW wants to add Manny Ramirez and A-Rod to our team. Also RJ for that pitcher we all need.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) I'm surprised he's gonna start on so little rest. That's why I was certain it would go to Garland. Either way, congratulations to MB. Well starting would give him more time to warm up so no problem with me. Also he should be only going 2 innings 3 max.

Im watching the futures games. Ive decided not to watch Oakland games anymore. Until we have a winning season vs them. Also Ive been looking forward to this game for awhile... to me its >>>> all star game.
-
Yeah I said in the minor league teams Id expect our offense to be absolutely the same except replace Pauly with Anderson(a course Anderson wouldnt bat in Pauly's spot) But I dont think we would really experiance a drop off offensively because Pauly hurts this team so much losing him would be almost addition by subtraction. Although he did win Buehrle that game vs Seattle earlier in the year

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) We arent gettting Dunn. That dudes untouchable. You kidding me? It is widely known that the Reds have been shopping him
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Conversely, I think Crede is drastically underrated on this message board. Underated in some terms, but I mean just defensively he is vastly overated.

teleportation while it looks cool on TV and everything man that would be kind of scary if you think of whats all involved in doing it. You would think it would basicly turn you into pure energy.

QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) IIRC you can only send $1 mil in cash with a player unless it's the balance of a signing bonus which then you are obligated to send. Didnt the yanks send us 2 million for Contreras's contract? Or is that different since they are paying for part of his contract rather than giving money.

I think Uribe has a lot of passion, and at least this year I dont mind having him on this team.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) Says who?? Range factor isn't the end all be all in deciding who covers more ground. You have to watch the guys play to see who covers more ground not look at stats. Yes and have you watched Inge play except for the games he has played us? Before you asked it back I have. Crede is a solid glove at 3B but he overated defensively on this message board so much.
-
so how exactly do you get past lvl 2... Its probably something very obvious but I cant get it for some reason
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 09:25 AM) Cred>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Inge Defensively. He doesnt make as much errors but Inge covers a lot more ground.
-
I would say Chavez is better In fact if you go look at RF Crede is towards the bottom only players worse than him are A-Rod, Mueller, and Dallas McPherson. Although Crede's ZR is pretty good but thats 2 be expected because he covers less ground... for example Crede is number 2 in ZR and D-Mac is number 1... because those 2 dont have as much range. Brandon Inge suprisingly has very good range and zone ratings.

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) I was making a Fantasy team and got Vlad Guerrero in round 2, but the rest of the draft went to hell so I had to ditch it. I kind of had the same thing but I drafted Tejada in the 2nd round and had Vlad in the 1st... also had Adrian Beltre but man those guys cost a lot so ended up shipping away Beltre and this offseason im going to trade away Vlad and Tejada so I can afford to pay my young studs like Oliver Perez money and not have a huge salary.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) they dont have a chance against philly, AI and webber are going to own If they work together they will be good but they wont own and Hasnt Webber already said he wants out before... those 2 arent what you call a great duo.
-
Cleveland is still trying to resign Iglauskis so If they get that done they wont have much more money left over. And they have to have some money to be able to resign Lebron to a Shaq like deal.
-
QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 02:34 AM) Sometimes things are so obviously sarcasm that green is not needed. You would be surprised... If your talking to someone its kind of easy to tell sarcasm but reading on a message board it doesnt always come across that way... Thats why its always safe to use the green

Harris thinks he should play everyday.
GoodAsGould replied to White Sox Josh's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) Didn't Harris bat .182 or something last June and July when he was getting "consistent playing time?" Willie sucks, and I hope he is tradedat the deadline to improve this team. When getting everyday playing time Willie was batting around .300ish with a good OBP... than Valentin came back from DL and Uribe was favored over Willie and Willie slowly declined but still was decent. -
Young has a chance to be really special... I dont mind trading him but if all we get is Zach Day than Id say hell no to that.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) I do. In fact, I posted it in the other trade thread. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=767963 I talked about Perez all last year , I remeber in the offseason Ken Rosenthal had some trade rumor connecting Perez with us... That would of been awesome although I think Garland was involved Also watching Perez reminds me that we arent the only ones who got ripped off by the pirates.... Perez and Bay for Giles
