2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 09:22 PM) Cool. No 2 guard. Just means they plan to take care of that in F/A. Id expect one of Jrich, Rip, JR. Smith, or Mayo to be playing for the Bulls next season. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) F- for the Bulls. They passed up on better prospects that could help them THIS year for a project. They got a guy that is lottery talent and that fits into their plans since from what I read they only wanted 1 pick this draft anyways. Assuming they take something decent with the 30th pick so far I have the Bulls at an A. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 23, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) I have no clue. redandwhite is another guy that comes to mind when it came to extreme negativity. But he would attack other posters. Especially when they accused him of being a fake White Sox fan. My favorite of all time was the juggernaut or whatever his name, never forget the thread he made defending how it was ok to do his kid's homework

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:45 PM) The answer to that question is...it doesn't matter. I find pointing out irrelevant sh** annoying. Well I guess if you dont make 4 straight posts in a row again you have nothing to worry about
-
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) Does it matter? Just a little annoying

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) By the way...Pretzel M&M's are the shiz. You couldnt of just used 1 post for all that?

2011-2012 OFFICIAL NBA LOCKOUT thread

Im hoping the Bulls draft Josh Selby and JuJuan Johnson(sp), I think those are about the best talent you can ask for that late in the draft. In the 2nd I'd be happy with DeAndre Liggins. JR Smith would be a pretty solid signing as well, not what most of us want but I think if he doesn't overshoot and whatnot would thrive here. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:24 AM) Some people around LA are talking about the Lakers and Minny trying to work out a trade involving Gasol. It has to be the most lopsided trade ever but I've heard some good NBA people on the radio commenting on it and they are indicating it has legs. Cowherd has been yapping about it this AM too. Gasol for Love and the #2 pick. That is ridiculous. If I was a Timberwolves fan and somehow stuck with them the past few seasons, that trade would turn me off from the franchise for the next 5 seasons at the very least. -
QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 01:54 AM) Porcello would have been the pick instead of Poreda if he hadn't chosen Boras as his agent. Porcello would have been taken much earlier in the draft if Boras wasn't his agent....

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 06:04 PM) Beg to differ. My golden can open and close sliding doors to let himself out, turn on and off a faucet to get a drink, and bring me a beer... All while being mans best friend. The only thing he can't do is make me a grilled cheese, which he's working on. Any cat or dog can open sliding doors, some cats are actually able to turn door knobs though to open a door. As far as bringing you a beer, a cat is smart enough to make you bring it food/drink rather than the other way around.

QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) Question for Bulls fan. Monta Ellis. Yea or Nay? http://www.mercurynews.com/warriors/ci_182...ource=autofeed# Depends what it would take, I don't think adding Ellis and losing Deng makes us any better, so if that was just the trade a definite no. Even though our back court would be undersized it would give us the true 2nd scoring option though and ball handler, also SG's in the NBA seemingly are becoming moreso 6'3 than 6'6 on avg anyways.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) My dog was box trained. He didn't go outside for business until he was 4 or 5 years old. Cats can actually be potty trained, tell me when a dog could do that.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 11:29 PM) I'm pretty sure its objectively true that dogs are more intelligent than cats. Dogs have bigger brains but cats have double the neurons in their cortex, which is considered the thinking part of the brain, so meh it could go either way. As for the person that says people arent as sad when their cat dies, you are more biased towards dogs than rockraines is to ohio state.
-
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) That's really not true at all. I'm pretty sure cats are generally though of as smarter than dogs, but I'm too lazy to find research to back it up

Official 2011-2012 NCAA Football Thread
GoodAsGould replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 11:10 AM) Maybe its better I stay out of this thread until August since everything I say is looked at differently than what I actually posted. My point was that they didnt half ass an ONGOING investigation, not that they were benevolent. Maybe my definition of half-assed is different than most people, because I dont think its accurate when people are actually doing work that brings about more things to report to the NCAA. Im not an expert at college sports by any means, but you are clearly biased I think is the biggest problem. You are possibly a bigger OSU fan than Wsox fan so while one benefit of that is you seemingly have inside info on the situation, you also clearly show a bias in all your posts regarding OSU. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 01:19 PM) "Until he becomes a starter" he's not a good pick. The point I'm trying to make is that there's a choice here, and it can be a good pick for the team even if he never starts because the team itself chose to put him in the reliever role. Right the point is any pick regardless of spot if he ends up on the major league team and is a good player regardless starting or relieving that is a successful pick. Even if it isn't what most visioned Sale as being.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 02:27 AM) Until Sale is a starter, he is a crap pick. You lost all credibility as a poster if you had any with this statement.
-
Wouldn't mind deandre liggins in the 2nd round, looks like a young Keith bogans, but more athletic.
-
Why is Noah constantly playing off bosh, boozer had to be the help man
-
QUOTE (Real @ May 14, 2011 -> 12:27 AM) i had it either going heat in 5, or bulls in 7 but i could see it going heat in 6 too the bulls are a cute team with their grindiness and effort style of play, but the heat are just better from a talent standpoint and that's what wins series in the NBA playoffs, talent bulls could win the series but if you're actually putting money on this series, no way you go with chicago, if you do and the bulls do pull it off, congratulations, you've won some money it would be sweet if the bulls win in like 5 or 6, that would be epic You are possibly the worse fan a team could ask for
-
Refs definitely helped the Heat out this game, which is a shame considering they were up 3-1 in the series. Called 2 bogus travels in a league that hardly whistles players for actual traveling.

If the Sox got sold - and moved out of state
GoodAsGould replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd cheer for my favorite players from the wsox and wish them the best, but I would prob. become a brewers fan or I move adopt the team of that city. -
QUOTE (knightni @ May 10, 2011 -> 06:56 PM) If someone else bought the Sox, they'd leave Chicago. Doubtful, no where to go that would have a bigger fan base. Otherwise the Rays, Marlins, and a half dozen other teams would have moved by now.
-
QUOTE (Real @ May 8, 2011 -> 07:58 PM) Yay the Kyle Korver Brick Show You are way too emotional during games lol, it's all doom and gloom unless we winning by 20

Ill never understand why guys don't finish with a dunk sometimes.... no reason for Brewer to just try to lay it up there.
