Actually I would rather we trade for Griffey Jr, Beltran, Vernon Wells, or any other quality CF...

I have you beat... I just found out two days ago I need to have surgury for my Crohns... They have to take my diseased intestine and sow the healthy parts together... Ohh and to make things cheerier I found out one of my best friends is dying of cancer... It's spread to far for them to do anything about it... Fun Fun...

Call me old fashioned but there was a time when players earned their jobs based on performances in spring training... Anderson shouldn't just back into the job... If Sweeney does better then lets see if he can play a few games in CF... It sure wouldn't hurt anything...

Well Brian Anderson sure isn't doing alot so far to earn the CF job... Just give the kid a change to see if he could maybe flash some glove at that spot...

If Sweeney stays hot and Anderson continues to lick balls then I wouldn't put anything past Ozzie. Thats all i'm saying...

I'd rather have Sweeney be started in some games in CF to see what he can do now... It's obvious Anderson isn't ready... And Rowand started out as a corner outfielder too... SWEENEY FOR CF IN 06!!!! Let Anderson get his hacks in AAA...

IMO Ozzie should start Cintron in CF every single day until he learns the position... It can't be too hard... From what I understand he has a decent arm... With Cintron as our starting CF that means that Brian Anderson can stay in AAA to get his at bats and lets us keep both Gload and Borchard on the bench...

Just imagine this lineup with everyone in it being healthy: Pods- LF Gooch- 2B Thome- DH Konerko- 1B Griffey- CF Dye- RF AJ- C Crede- 3B Uribe- SS That also leaves us with a bench of Gload, Mack, Cintron, Ozuna, Widger Sorry but that lineup right there is enough to just make me want to cream my pants on spot... if healthy thats three 40 HR hitters in the heart of our order... Dye having at least 35 plus... Plus Pods and Gooch having a repeat of last year... There isn't a team in baseball that could match up with us on offense... Maybe not even the Yankees...

Ok... fine obviously no Griffey love here... You know whats funny is I was against this trade last year and you guys were then all for it... Now it's the opposite... Yes obviously Griffey is a step down defensively but it would make us one of the best teams offensively in baseball...

I'm not saying we give up anything quality for him... Just Joe "lost cause" Borchard... Anderson would still be in AAA if we needed him...

Well to be fair US Cellular field is hardly the hardest place in the league to play CF... Hell he'd be better then Carl Everett was when he was our starting CF... Somehow adding another potential 40 HR hitter in the lineup just makes me want to cream my pants...

Ohh well either way... Is anyone else hoping that KW now just says payroll be damned and swings a trade with the Reds for Ken Griffey Jr and say Kent Mecker.... Griffey and Mecker for Borchard, Any outfield prospect not named Anderson or Sweeney, and one of our top pitching prospects... If KW did that then I think I would just cream my pants on the spot...

I guess I was hoping we might have picked up a Figgins type guy where he might be good as a CF too... I don't know much about him at all to be honest...

I'm not going to go though a 28 page thread to get the answer but does anyone know if this Cintron guy has any experience playing the OF... More importantly does anyone know if he has any experience playing CF... If he could then I would tend to go with the Gload people and say that Borch is on the way out... Ozuna plays a solid LF, along with every IF position besides 1B. Not to mention he's our best leadoff option of all the bench guys... Mack plays just about everywhere he's asked too... Gload can play 1B and a servicable LF. If this guy can prove himself to play above a Willie Harris level at CF then it's entirely possible Brian Anderson might see some competition and it makes the bench just that much deeper... So has he ever played the outfield in the minors... How did he do at it?

This guy has some good ideas...

Hindsight is 20/20... I liken this to when you go out and buy a new tv at Wal-Mart and then pick up a flier and find a similar TV on sale at K-Mart for like $30 less... Who gives a crap... You can't take the other TV back now... So you just have to live with eating the 30 dollars...
