  1. That's me I didn't think it worked, that was like the 7th try, how do you change your name? That is my junk e-mail address, so I can sign up gor s***. Click the Signup/Login link at the bottom of the site, then log in and go to User Prefrences on the left. Just change the nickname.
  2. We're starting off 11-8, 3 games over .500. That's really not too impressive considering we've only played the Tigers, Indians, and Royals (sure the Royals are playing well, but we should be able to beat them). We have 1 more easy series against the Orioles, and then its on to the big guys. The Twins series should give us a good idea of how much we have really improved from last year and where the Twins are at. We should take no less than 2 out of 3. Then we go out of the division and face the A's and Mariners for the next 12 games. From what I've seen so far, we've been very inconsistent at times. Our pitching has been pretty good (except for the last two games). D'Lo and Valentin have been very impressive leading off games. When our big guys (Thomas, Maggs, Konerko) start producing more, we should blow our opponents away. I would expect no less than division champs for the Sox with about 92 wins. The Twins just aren't as competitve as last year, when they put together a fairly magical season. The Royals will fall down to earth by about next month and we should have the division in control for 75% of the season.
  3. We only have 3 members so far. No one else interested? And whos eapoe@...
  4. And I'm guessing they ranked Wrigly first?
  5. I'd say. Just because Jimenez is hitting hot right now, he is NO WHERE near Soriano's level. Soriano, this little stick figure, will redefine the second baseman position.
  6. Hes on the 15-day DL. That team is getting way too old, I believe second oldest team in the majors (behind Seattle). Maybe it's finally time to start rebuilding?

    Happy B-day

Happy Birthday...run before I start singing
  8. I've created a Beat the Streak league at MLB.com Basically the game is that you choose one player(on any team) everyday, and if the player gets a hit, your streak continues. Your goal is to the longest hitting streak. If anyone's interested in joining: League name: Soxnet Password: soxtalk http://www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/fantasyBTSLe...vlet?action=mgt
  9. JM is finally doing something right by giving Koch the ball in non-save opportunities. 1 bad start and we're already talking bout sending down Garland? Why not send down Buerhle too? And Dan Wright is as inconsistent as anyone in the rotation.
  10. Rick Reed just blew up my ERA today :fyou
  11. I'm hoping for a 1-0 Sox win since Ponson is on my fantasy team.
  12. Soriano hit his 2nd Grand Slam of the season. D'Lo doesnt come close.
  13. nor I what do you suggest? Time to take your first action as a mod?
  14. Holy f*** I know we all hate Sosa's attitude, but no one deserves to be hit like that. It would be a sad day for sCrubbie fans if that put an end to his career... Any news on if he's ok?
  15. Jose bashers, ya hear that? Now what can you complain about our 2003 All Star shorstop?
  16. And wadda ya kno...the TWins lose 4-2 to Yanks
  17. Yeah that's gonna get ugly. One thing though, it will get much better ratings than the Subway Series.
  18. cwsox, Congrats on your demotion! Ahem I mean um..promotion
  19. Remember when we got swept to begin the season?
  20. O God...if the Cubs reach the World Series before us... Lets be realistic, the Cubs and Sox have about equal chance of making it to the WS. Barring injuries, the Cubs rotation is phenomenal with the Wood, Prior, Clement combo and is certainly a match for Buerhle, Colon, Garland. Their offense has scored over 10 runs in the last few games. I'd say they have a darn good chance. But of course, both Chicago teams have not done so well in the playoffs.
  21. Soriano looks like a stick figure out there, but he was one homer off of 40HR/40steals last year. That kid is just amazing. With all the homers that he can hit now, I just hope that he doesnt get the idea into his head of how many he could hit once he's Bond's size. I would hate to see him get on steroids or something just to improve his game even more. Damn the Yankees..its just not fair And speaking of Jose Canseco, I think "Joe Blows" won the auction of a day with Canseco at $30,000
  22. Same here. We are playing some great baseball right now. Our pitching looks better than it has been for years. Our offense is still off at times, but we're scoring the runs and getting the job done. I just hope that we can do the same against the Twins, Yankees, A's, Angels, Mariners...
