A Raided Party
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nark&r=f (nark can also be spelled narc or narq) 1: To be a nark is to be someone that will report any misbehaving to a higher authority like the police, parents and teachers. 2: To nark, or to nark someone out is the action of reporting the misbehavior; also called narking. 3: To be narked is, obviously, the past tense of narking. 1: The other day I was taking some snoops and that nark ratted out on me! 2: I am so going to nark him for smoking that weed. 3: That b**** narked me out the other day for smoking the weed!

Final Home game of 2004 Game Thread
He has 21 homeruns but i agree he has been good for us. Only thing he needs to improve on is obp.

2 Ex-Cubs Available in '05
I would just like schoeny to leave he is about a 9th starter or a 12th man in the pen.

FYI: Jeremy Reed
While i agree he is annoying to watch play period he must be doing something right defensively that he is rated that high in two different categories. Doesn't seem like he is doing anything extremely special but i guess he is.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
It is also to bad that he goes into stone hands syndrom for periods of time.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
Valentin gets to alot of balls almost directly in front of second base or behind second base that alot of other shortstops don't. It may not make sense to you but trust me it makes sense for every position besides 1st pitcher and catcher. EDIT: I am sorry for saying it is a legit stat but it can be helpful for certain positions.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
So are you saying that it is mere chance that carl crawford blows every other left fielder away in range factor? Do you think that all the balls hit to him are right at him? Because i think he uses his get instincts and really good speed to get to most balls that others won't.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
They were all their together from 1997 to 2003 almost always within the top 4-5 in the batting order.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
He was surrounded by them for years and he had one good year. Thrill.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
Put it this way range factor is legit since it is how many outs you record in a nine innings game. It may just be a step or two either way but valentin is better than him at that.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
His career obp is .316. A two hole hitter needs to be in the .350's.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
His defense is not as good as valentin's outside of errors. Valentin blows him away in range factor and zone rating. Offensively they are pretty equal except strikeouts and valentin hits more home runs.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
He has a worse career obp. Valentin has better range ffactor and zone rating by alot.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
You do understand that cabrera is basically the same player as valentin right?
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
For someone who knows who is the braves really good 3rd base prospect isn't it marte something? Andy marte maybe?
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
Yes, because he has excellent range quick release and a cannon for an arm.

FYI: Jeremy Reed
All that i know is i always have heard borchard is suppose to be the next big thing. But how the f*** can you be the next big thing when you can hardly handle the minors and striking out at a ridiculous pace. I just hate borchard and compare reed to him because their was no reason why the sox valued borchard over reed whatsoever. I know borchard was never involved in the trade but god i wish he would have been.
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
Yes he does have 8 wins in 15 starts but in those 15 starts he has an era of 4.78 that is 4th to 5th starter territory. So i would not be too sure that he will not have an era of 4.87 next year. A flyball pitcher in a our stadium does not go well. Also why get cabrera when we basically have the same exact player in uribe for about 4 million a year cheaper?
-
FYI: Jeremy Reed
For one i am not honestly judging his 39 at-bats or whatever and saying that he is gonna be a career .390 hitter now am i? Just better than joe f***ing borchard. Also i never said anything in the second half of your post but since you brought it up the original deal was crede and olivo but kw talked them out of it and offered reed.

Anyone Else....
If he is batting 8th or ninth i have no problem with him but anything higher than that is bad.

Carlos to be traded?
Might as well get them why they are injured or just returning from injury. Doesn't matter if they are 100% healthy when we get them they will get injured or lose velocity for no apparent reason anyway. So why not get a head start?

Anyone Else....
He is actually doing worse than his career stats so i highly doubt he gets a raise. 1 million dollars is more than sufficent for him.
