    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) We watched 'The Warriors' last night, a cult classic which I hadn't seen in years. Looks dated and kinda cheesy now, but cool for a little nostalgia. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0423512/
  3. It's even worse when you are drunk off your ass... soxfan1... just be very ashamed. Btw, why do people have to type all s***ty when they claim they are drunk. I actually type great compared to normal because i actually have to concentrate.
  4. You reminded me it is almost time for me to start using my indians/cubs stuff again. Thank you.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Because Rock Raines is in the top ten in stolen bases in the history of the game. I thought he had a big impact with the sox being one of the best base stealing teams in the league. Sure you can talk about Pods but it happened with other guys to. Jermaine Dye had 11 stolen bases. People in Oakland were comparing him to Konerko in terms of speed. Plus I think Baines is a pretty good Bench Coach. So there is your f***ing reason. The white sox were in the bottom third of the league in stolen base percentage. Alot of stolen bases doesn't mean overall success. The sox were fourth in baseball with 137 steals but first in baseball with the most caught stealing, 67, that was the most by ten. Now if you want to talk about good base stealing team... look no farther than the angels and mets. Btw, dye has always been known for his base running. Who cares about his 11 steals... i remember three of those were gimmes anyway.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) recognizing pick off moves. That worked well...
  7. Last year was closer to the real cotts than the 2004 season. No triple a probally hurt him. For some players the jump from double a to the majors is nothing... but then for others you see the results cotts had for us in 2004. I am convinced cotts is our best reliever in the pen.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) That Lebron dude had a pretty good game. 43 points/12reb/11asst/4blk Those numbers mean nothing. He doesn't play defense remember?

    QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) Yeah, 50% of the film is kids walking the hallways though. If it was on demand or if i had rented it i would have been done with the movie in 20 minutes. The scene that pissed me off the most was when he walked allt he way from the field into the school throughout two thirds of the f***ing school. I just did not care about him enough. He talked to no one along the way until he reached his girlfriend and there were limited people to even look at along the way. It was worse than all of the people that bash it say it is.
  10. QUOTE(Drew @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 05:06 AM) Why is our bullpen in question? Because we've only one lefty and we're minus our resident headcase? Politte with far and away his best year of his career last year. Can he keep it up? He looked much different in the second half from the first ( still damn good). Jenks has not shown he can get righties out at a good clip... killed lefties in his time up though. Problem is 80% of the time he will be facing right handers... needs to improve in that area. Hermanson and his back problems... i expect him to be limited next season. Cotts is the safest best to me. He skipped triple a so i consider his 2004 season his triple a/feeler for the majors. Last year is what i expect him to do... maybe slightly worse. I think he would be the best closer on the team ever given the chance... and i think he will close at some point in his career. Mccarthy is a nice inning eater/swing man. Personally i think we will see him pitch alot more than the average '' mop up'' pitcher. Lastly we will have some scrub who we will have to hope ends up being better than kevin walker. The bullpen is still strong but i think we might see some regression from last year.
  11. QUOTE(farmteam @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Wouldn't a room like that be locked? Happens all the time around here. How i figure it happens is someone lags until no one else is around. They are safe because no one else can get in besides the coach (s) with the key... but they can't take to long so that it is not noticeable later on . They hurry up and look into a few ''bags''... thrash the s*** into their own. When they leave later on try to be one of the quicker people to get out of there.
  12. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Yeah, that last sentence is a complete lie. ^^^
  13. Start pargo!1! Trade deng!1! Put pargo at the three, gordon at the point, and hinrich @ shooting guard ( he is better than lebron james).
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) Deng is too unique of a player, imo. He's very smooth and can finish and his shot is so much better this year than it was last year and I expect that to continue. The kid is so young and I think he is the one Bull with a shot to be an all around great player and consistent all star (I love Hinrich, but Deng has a shot to be a guy you build a team around, imo). I have no idea if he'll live up to it, but I'd hate getting rid of him. I think you are just not very smart for not wanting to get rid of him. He sucks and pargo is better. You must have been dropped on your head as an infant i swear.
  15. QUOTE(CluelessJoe1919 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:47 PM) Now this is funny. your Favorite Sox moment Whenever the sox do something bad and soxtalk freaks out. Are you mentally handicapped? Just let me know so I won't pick on you so much. I'll keep ruining Jeckle's life. Watching soxtalk freak the f*** out is one of the better things to look forward to when the sox are playing s***ty. The second part makes no sense at all. You are a f***ing waste of member and have had some dumb ass arguements in your short time. Bottom ten i have seen since i have been a member.
  16. QUOTE(CluelessJoe1919 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) Hey. Someone had to tell you how stupid you were. And are. If you have a problem with me, Jeck, why don't ya try to meet up with me and talk it over in person? Well that will definitely get you banned for good.
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) You must have really hated the Bad Boys. They had about 5 Bowens. The whole league had the mentailty back then. There were wars out there. Now the league is full of pussies... but just because of that i don't think that bowen should blatantly trip and elbow people. Getting physical is fine... but he takes it a step farther... too far.
  18. QUOTE(CluelessJoe1919 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) We're kinda hoping Chandler moves on. It's been five years already. C'mon Tyson, move up! Power forwards and centers almost always take longer to develope than guards and small forwards. Usually big players are very clumsy and raw, therefore needing a s*** load of help for many years. There are of course exceptions to the rule... but some of the best players in the league have were in league for a long time before they accomplished s*** worth noticing.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) I gotta agree. Maybe if Camby would put up a few healthy seasons. Bruce Bowen will barely go down as a legendary defender and its taken a few championships for that to happen. Obviously Big Ben will go down as a legendary defender. I hate bruce bowen. One of the dirtiest players to ever play the game. I saw this gallery with something like 100-150 pictures of him tripping purposely. That was within only a couple year time span too. He also likes to throw elbows alot. I don't know, he is a guy i love to hate.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) I'm sorry, but Ben has one of the highest assist to turnover ratio's in the NBA and thats coming from a guard. He is easily one of the worse passing guards in the entire NBA. I'm not saying he can't improve, but I'm not gonna be nice. I think he's a good shooter. Last year he was a great shooter. Of course he has a very poor shot selection and this year he seems to pass open jumpers to drive in and than jack up far harder shots. I'm not a Gordon fan though. Have no problem with Gordon the person cause I think he's a hard working guy, but I don't think he's the type of player I want. I'd like more Hinrich's and less Gordons (healthy Hinrich's cause the one we have now's shot is off due to an injury). More specifically I want Pierce but that won't happen. Hey qwerty, I got a question for ya. Lets say we get the 2nd pick and Aldridge goes 1. If we draft Gay are either him or Deng able to start at the 2 with Hinrich at the point? I'd think Deng would be capable but I don't know enough about Gay. I guess the only flaw with Deng is that he would have to improve his dribble. Although with a true point like Hinrich we could get away with a not as great dribbler at the 2. Actually if we didn't get Aldridge I'd love Gay, Deng and Hinrich in the backcourt with us signing or finding a big to go with Chandler while Harrington, Songalia, and Sweetney come off the bench. Than you have Noc and Gordon (although you'd probably have to deal Gordon to help get the big) and Duhon (he could be the guy thats dealt). Wouldn't be too bad if you ask me, cause I think Gordon is a quality guy to have on the bench. If we draft gay i see one of deng/nocioni getting traded before gordon. We would be too power forward/ small forward heavy to carry three small forwards. We would get the most value for deng, persoanlly i would want to get rid of him just about last on the team.
  21. QUOTE(CluelessJoe1919 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) Gordon has a lot to learn. But, he's an exceptional shooter and I don't agree that he's not a good passer. You guys surely do take your basketball seriously here, doncha? Many of you make complete asses of yourselves. Good passer? I do not consider a good passer one that contantly throws behind the player so that they are not able to reach for it... and if they are able to they lose all their momentum. Countless times he has tried a cross court pass and it ends up in the stands. For one, why is a player with his passing abilities making a pass like that? His dribbling is nothing special either. He does the same cross over... over and over. The ball dribbled too high by him and right in front of him... not on the side... to limit the chances of a steal. He is also slow and has no feel for lay-ups or dunking. He is suppose a be such a great dunker... he has maybe dunked a total of five times in a year and a half now. Gordon is an exceptional three point shooter. Other than that he has a very limited jumper and forces most shots within 18 feet. Many of his threes are actually good shots because he finds a way to get open for them. Also, exceptional shooters do not shoot .415 from the field... they just don't. We do not have many good shooters on the team, though i would argue songo slime is the best and smartest shooter we have. Go pargo!!!
  22. QUOTE(CluelessJoe1919 @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) Chastised by who, you? You kidding? If you weren't so f***ing stupid and miserable you'd have noticed that I had held out hope that Chandler would come around. No, I didn't see last night's game, but I've seen many of Chandler's games since he's come into the league. He's sucked! How long have you been his agent? And, can you tell him something about hanging on the rim while dunking. Tell him to act like he's done it before, K? Gordon can only shoot? Can he create, too? Why don't you START watching the games once in a while. YOUR basketball talk on here is pathetic. Yes, gordon can only shoot... in streaks. He is only a good shooter... but he is a great scorer, and there is a difference. He is a s***ty penetrator, worse passer, way too wild of a dribbler, and defense is lackluster. Everyone knows how everyone feels about gordon, curry, chandler.. etc. I just wish people wouldn't have to go off for three pages once a certain player is named... which we likely will once you tell me how good gordon is.
  23. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) Pargo can play defense unlike Gordon. He provides energy. He is a better ballhandler, and can push it up better than Gordon, and even Captain Kirk for that matter. Skiles needs to play him more. He is a valuable weapon. This whole sports board has gotten too crazy/funny/moronic lately.
