What the White Sox did was protect themselves financially in the short term while still remaining competitive. And I still don't want any of the CF options that were possibly coming to the White Sox...well, maybe Coco Crisp.

I'm sure there are reasons to pay points...but every person I've talked to, mortgage brokers, realtors and friends have all said, never pay points. I have never been offered enough for it to make a difference, but I don't trust (potentially) paying that much up front.

Scott Podsednik has done more in his career than either Jerry Owens or Dewayne Wise. The Devil you know is better than the Devil you don't...and that pretty much would sum up this move.
