I know he has an option which is why I suggested sending him to AA if anything. He still takes up a 40 man spot. That in a vacuum isnt a concern with what we have on the 40 man but it quickly does when Quero/Teel take a 40 man spot above a guy in AA. Haven't heard anything official about Quero/Teel moving to 1B and that does not seem to be in the immediate plans. You certainly don't make that decision because of that guy. Both should be given every opportunity to fail at catcher.

Top 15 prospect not long ago. Only 2 catchers on the 40 man so there's room there, but not really when it comes to org depth. I guess you can shove him all the way down in AA. Theel and Quero shouldn't be down there and would be ahead of this guy. But yeah not sure how much sense it makes for a 23 year old on the 40 in AA above 2 guys who will be pushing for that spot very soon.

There was ways for it to get worse coming off 2023 though. It was bad, not nothing anyone had not seen before. There is no way they replicate a 35% save percentage. Even a terrible bullpen can get you to 60%.

The bullpen will be better by sheer variance and luck, if that makes you feel any better. The offense...

Agreed if they want him at 2b. No need for that. But for 3b not sure Ramos should be up right away and Vargas shouldn't be there at all. So that can work.

He wasn't mocking his substitution patterns. Bert and Beamer both said as much. Beamer intentionally was using fake fair catch signals on kickoffs and Bielema took exception to that since it's a good way to get players hurt Beamer: "I think he was upset about something that we did on the kickoff return in regards to Juju on the throwback to Nyck Harbor. I would say he needs to check the rule book, because that's something that we cleared with the officials before the game." Bert: "Kickoff return is the highest percentage of injury in the sport, so one of the things that coaches began to do was everybody out of respect started T-barring. It's not an official sign. They didn't do anything illegal, but it put us in a position that we now -- the ethics of what that is got evaporated there, because our kids stopped. Fletcher looked like an incredible defensive RF so begs the question how he looked so bad in CF. The potential is there defensively, I would think. Needs to prove he can play CF to have some value overall.
