  1. He wasn't even coming at you. Relax
  2. They really are for continuing to charge for a station that doesn't exist.
  3. Media rights hadn't blown up 100x by that point.
  4. Chicago Fire looking to build their privately funded stadium at the 78 Mansueto said the team has toured three sites in Chicago: a lakefront site in the Bronzeville neighborhood that was the former home of the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center; The 78, a development in South Loop where the Chicago White Sox have proposed building a new stadium; and Lincoln Yards, a development along the north branch of the Chicago River in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the north side of the city.
  5. Okay so doing some digging I am pretty damn confident that this is a ploy by Reinsdorf for stadium money. Either that or I'm in the cope stage. This Stewart group is an absolute fraud. As a Nashville outlet said a few months ago: "Most media outlets in Nashville never seem to ask this crucial question when reporting on the baseball effort: Where is the money going to come from? Music City Baseball has been looking for a general partner, aka an owner with deep pockets, for five years." I doubt they found one suddenly. They made laughable attempts to buy the both the Marlins and Rays. Seem you may not even call them attempts. Both franchises were happy to leverage their "interest" into other things. From the Stewart perspective, it seems the plan is that this "interest" somehow legitimizes them. Which brings us as to why Dave Stewart? He has no meaningful money. It appears their plan is to wait it out for expansion and be given a franchise on the relatively cheap while hiding behind "minority-led" group by bullying MLB that they need minority ownership. Of course a lot of the people in the group are not minorities so you can't make them the face. I doubt even this plan works but for the potential ROI, I guess it's worth a shot for them. As the above article states, they do have a lot of cool branding and marketing scheme, just no money to their names. Now hopefully this post doesn't age horribly.
  6. This group also tried buying the Rays and Marlins. They failed both times because they don't have the money and no billionaire backer. Almost seems like a scam, but one Jerry can use for leverage I guess.
  7. Reinsdorf found the one person on Earth who'd be a worse owner than himself. Interesting.
  8. Ellis does not seem remotely seasoned enough for this job. If he wants to be in the dugout as it seems, then bring him in as an assistant. Little scary he may seemingly be a finalist. Lombard seems competent. I dont know if excitable "player's coach" if the right hire gor now. There's also the question why he hasnt been the guy yet or why we didnt hire him in 2022 when he was a finalist. Give me Schumaker though.
  9. It works the same lol. I have one of my tvs set up with it. Needle goes into the hole (joke in there somewhere). Just like from an antenna. I understand the concerns both about lack of app and coverage outside Chicagoland. The complaining about the actual process of getting/needing an antenna/having to change the input is just making a mountain of a molehill though.
  10. You can put a paperclip in your tv if you don't want to spend the $5 on an antenna.
  11. At least we're admitting it now.
  12. Are we just gaslighting and pretending it's not now?
  13. You're darn right. The demand to pay for a free product is an interesting social experiment to say the least. I wouldn't mind a non-blacked out app, though. I'm thinking that's not a possibility.
  14. As opposed to the app will cost $15-$20. Source: it was revealed to me in a dream. Why give this attention? He's continually just making stuff up and has banned any and all dissent to make it look better.
  15. This guy has been spamming posts for weeks now and has no idea what he's talking about. And then when you call him out, he blocks you do you can no longer respond so I guess I have to respond here. "I've learned more than I ever possibly wanted to know about this, and I've drawn conclusions from it." Well at least he now admits he knew nothing to start and is merely pretending to be some expert here. "All previous things I've posted are no longer true and/or valid" Lol I wonder why.
  16. I don't see the Sox and Bears getting in bed together, but the historically awful Sox will of course draw far, far more than the Bears will in a year. Drawing 500k over 8 days isn't a sell for anything.
  17. You put a paper clip in your tv.
  18. First off, relax. You and your buddy over there don't come off very well screeching into your monitor. I'm not denying there can be issues with antenna, just like there can be with any source. I mean a lot of those sources you listed are inherently problematic to either 4g or WiFi too. The previous guy's problem was that he couldn't get a signal 2000 miles away. Who knew? You may be seeing some confirmation bias in a vacuum like whatever Blackhawks forum youre reading. More people use OTA than subscription streaming like YouTubeTV and the like. If issues like you mentioned were so widespread, I would have a doubt that would be true. It's only gaining more popularity and skews towards younger viewers than cable thanks to cord cutters. So to act like like it's some dead technology is bizarre and out of touch in itself. It cannot be easier to use and I say that as someone who has YoutubeTV. Truly live feed OTA in uncompressed HD is superior. If people want to pay for a free product, I do hope they get that right though. I don't see the downside in it.
  19. Lmfao, the hell is wrong with dude
  20. Why are you so angry then lol
  21. The name calling on this continues to be embarassing. Calling people unintelligent when you cannot figure out how to use an antenna, which literally requires a paperclip, is wild. You will have your opportunity to pay for the free channel soon enough though.
  22. That dumbass made the Yankees playoff roster.
