So the Big East continues to get closer and closer to splitting into two divisions. This plan has gained some steam after Syracuse was left out of the tournament. Today Jimmy B went on a tirade on why the split should happen, and said it's holding back the conference in terms of basketball. He basically whined about being 10-6 but being left out because there is too much competition in the conference. First, I'd like to tell Jimmy to get a clue. You were left out because of your pathetic excuse of a non-conference schedule. Second, I'd like to take a look at what seems to be the inevitable split. The two divisions would likely be divided between the football schools and the non-football schools(including Notre Dame of course). It would look like this: Football Syracuse Rutgers West Virginia Louisville South Florida Cincinatti UConn Pittsburgh Basketball Villanova Providence St. Johns Marquette Georgetown Notre Dame Seton Hall DePaul I think it's safe to say that it is a pretty even split basketball But I still would rather see it not happen. I would instead like to see modifications to the Big East conference schedule. I say screw playing random teams twice(and others not at all) and move to a everybody plays everybody once schedule. Would it be perfect? No. Playing at home against the bigger teams is obviously a huge advantage. But it stills makes more sense than what they have now.

I never knw a back-up catcher position could cause so much pain in my life. I've managed to remain optimistic throughout this entire Spring up until this week.

Boone should get the first of the final 2 spots. Aardsma has been decent his last few outings. I guess he is the best option of the balloon ERA gang of himself, Floyd, and Sisco. Too bad we didn't keep Haegar up.

Arkansas basketball fans are the single most delusional fan base in sports. Reading their message board, you will find comments like that their heading coaching spot is spot is the most coveted job in all of basketball. And it's not just one or two silly comments, it's the entire board. Some think their just going to go right in and pluck Bill Self from Kansas. I don't even know where they get this stuff from. Gillepsie will be seriously considered, but he has to know that they may be his last job for awhile. I could see him staying at A&M for a bit until a better offer comes.
