QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 11:18 PM) wooohooo we won a conference that has not been so down in 10 years. That's pretty funny actually since it's still better than the "We're ranked lower than the mid-major MVC" Big 12. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) Clearly? If that is the case, then you must know the favorite teams of all the referees. So tell us, which is the favorite team of the following referees: Steve Welmer Ted Valentine Ed Hightower Mike Sanzere Bruce Benedict Verne Harris Ted Hillary Doug Sirmons Jim Burr Donnee Gray J.D. Collins John Moore Paul Janssen Winston Stith Jamie Luckie Tim Nestor Gary Maxwell That list ought to keep you busy for a little while. Well, not too long if it is CLEAR they favor their favorites. I'm pretty sure he was not speaking of specific teams with these referees so a list would be pointless. Just some that like home cookin'. -

Down 16 and still fouling. Come on St. John's. And CBS, this isn't a game. Switch over for God's sake. -
Yes, he makes a huge difference when he is playing well. That part is undeniable. The whole problem though is that he doesn't play "well" often enough.

This Big Ten week is going to be fun. Michigan State may be considered a lock as of now, but they could be on the outside looking in by week's end. But then again, if they do take care of business, they could end up as the third highest Big Ten team, which is where they reside right now. Illinois too could finish with a higher NCAA seed than Indiana when it's all said and done, although that may have to include a run in the BTT. Now Michigan is another team that people have taken off the bubble list, but they could be looking good by the end of the week. Of course, that would take a home win over Ohio State which is unlikely in itself. Purdue is on cruise control up until the BTT, but that may not be a good thing for them. Oh yeah, and theres a pretty big game today. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:53 AM) So Ohio State beating Penn St by two and eight points in their last three games means what? Penn St. is worse than all of the teams Kansas has blown out in the past few weeks. This basically has nothing to do with anything. They've beaten legit teams to prove themselves. This just proves that results vs. weaker teams means nothing as long as you pick up the W. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:53 AM) The point is, actually, you don't have a clue what you are arguing. You keep posting stats about what Kansas has done this year, which means absolutely NOTHING in terms of how they are playing right now. I could care less what they did or did not do in December. If you watch Kansas right now, you can see they are playing very well. If you can't see that, then you are just an idiot. If you want to keep arguing with points that are not related, go ahead and talk to yourself. Actually it looks like it's you who doesn't know what he is arguing. I never denied Kansas was playing well. It just so happens that they are playing well against St. Mary's School for the Blind. Kansas lost its two biggest games in Big 12 play. That is a fact. I don't know how to put in any simpler to you. Beating up on Colorado, Iowa State, etc. is by no means a measuring point for how good a team is. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:56 AM) SIU only beat a bad Evansville team by 7 at home tonight, so they suck too. Um, you are the one arguing that running up the score on terrible teams is relevant, not me. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:25 AM) The things they are doing against the Colorado's and Iowa State's would translate against better teams. I would not agree at all. Especially when we are talking about a Bill Self Kansas team. They've been Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde over these last few years and there hasn't been much to suggest that this year is any different. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:25 AM) No one is handing them the NCAA Championship, but they aren't struggling to beat teams they should beat. They are heading in the direction they need to be heading into March. It doesn't take a degree in rocket science to tell who is playing well and who is not if you simply watch games. But that's the whole point. Any decent team would be under the category of "playing well" if they played Kansas' schedule. Doesn't change the fact that they haven't won a big game since December. One of the most telling thing about an elite team is their record vs. the upper echelon of teams(of RPI top 50 for short). The NCAA championships prove this. Kansas is just 3-2 in that category this year. And the fact that they've only had 5 of those games basically means their untested at this point. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:17 AM) All of that means absolutely nothing to anyone except you. So the fact that they have beaten a tournament team in two months means nothing? -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 25, 2007 -> 03:09 AM) At least they are beating the s*** out of those teams. WHO CARES? Their taking care of business like they should(which, in their case, is a step up), but they have yet to prove themselves. It's too bad that Kansas hasn't beaten a tourney team since December. Anyone can beat up on the Iowa States, Nebraskas and Colorados of the world. Call me when they get another quality win. Maybe then I'll be impressed. -
If not on FSC, I'm guessing ESPN picked it up.

When does Barry break the record?
Buehrle>Wood replied to Middle Buffalo's topic in The Diamond Club
That would be awesome if it were against the Yankees. Is that game in NY? It's going to be a fun season following him. -
I starred in a local commercial when I was younger and I've been on Entertainment Tonight. Oh, and I lead a Bozo parade. I'm sure most of us have been on Bozo one way or another.

Anyone who watches CBB should know this. -
Well I'm getting the same problems except I'm only in high school. Just over a year ago I was told I had better than 20/20 vision. Now, after a good portion of that year was spent on the computer, I have worse than 50/20. Damn you Soxtalk!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) If they find out all them were drinking, hopefully they suspend all of them for some amount of time, Carwell included. ??? Why should a person legal of age be suspended for drinking? That is just stupid. And so is all of this cancel the season stuff. That is quite possibly the worst thing you could do.

http://mfile.akamai.com/8108/wmv/cstv.down...02feb/chief.asx The amount of pictures going off is nuts. It's like the final at bat of the World Series or something. It's clear people care about this situation. And it looks like the chief really is more than a mascot. -
Maybe I would watch if Comcast could ever fix my OnDemand. They've been over 4 times now and it breaks as soon as they leave.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 04:57 AM) Actually, I can see a very realistic scenario for Kansas getting a #1 seed. I guess you never read the articles I suggested. RPI is merely one factor considered and is WAY overhyped compared to how it is ACTUALLY used. Not really if you know the correct way of reading it. RPI can tell you everything in a breakdown of a team's resume. And what is tells me about Kansas is that they are 3-2 against the top tier teams this year. Sorry, not good enough. And as of right now, it doesn't look too good for them. But of course, there is still time. Assuming they win the Big 12 tourney, anything can happen. -

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 04:02 AM) Badgers a very blah team...I would love to play them. The door to a kansas 1 seed is opening up more and more by the day. They would beat you guys no questions asked. And have you looked at the RPI lately? Kansas is not getting a one seed.
