  1. So Lee is starting? Hmm...
  2. any time I saw Grimsley get in a game this year, he gave up runs or something. He's been awful this season. No thanks.

Maybe we need to use Adkins more?
  4. Maybe he's just not an everyday player yet. I think he should play half the games in a week. He's also an awesome late innings replacement (as is Olivo, if you think about it): he can hit lefties pretty well and plays great defense.
  5. I thought it was funny when Burke went to talk to him in the 10th. I wonder what he was saying, because I don't think Takatsu speaks English and I'm sure Burke doesn't know Japanese.

We could... but then we'd be down another guy in the pen. Hopefully he can put together a good outing and build off of it. That's about our only option right now...
  7. Odd that the attendance spike coincides with the Us and Them commercial... IIRC, the commercial aired during the first Braves game. Attendance really spiked for the second one and ever since.
  8. Rowand's pretty damn good!

at some level the accountability has to be on the players on the field... I think Coop's done a great job. Hopefully the pitchers stop slumping soon!
  10. great game by both the Sox organizations.
  11. Hell, tomorrow's game is important, too. I was almost crying when they got the homer off of Marte but then they got it all back
  12. Welcome aboard. I think most people here agree with you, actually. If Magglio can get converted into even 1 good starter and some prospects, I think everybody on the board would be pretty happy.
  13. It all starts tonight. No excuse for losing tonight. Hopefully Lee's appeal fails and Buerhle pitches against a nobody. Finally, I hope Rauch improves from his last outing.
  14. I would go as far to say that Rowand is the best defensive outfielder in Chicago. Great range, arm, and field awareness. If only he could hit righties if only for average, then he would be awesome.
  15. Just the sound "knucklecurve" sounds sick. They're one of the nastiest pitches out there. So who do you think Honel compares to?
  16. Is there any way that Gonzalez could be a guy that gets to the bigs quick? It seems like he has the potential for being one of those guys to successfully go from AA to MLB.
  17. Does this guy seem most likely to start or to be a bullpen guy?

haha, you said eating. I wonder if Giovanni Gonzalez can be one of those A/AA to MLB pitchers... any of the minor league guys around here have any idea?

That's pretty sad considering how he's been terrible for the most part.

Sounds like he's pitched 13 games in AA or AAA and another as a rehab...

    Ah yes. Brilliant!
  22. If the Cubs winning the World Series this year somehow were to make the Sox win it the next year (open JR's eyes and pursestrings, light a fire under Frank to have a Bonds-like second prime, etc), then I don't mind. If the Cubs winning it doesn't help us win one, then I in no way want to see them win it. I'd buy NLCS/WS front-row seats along the foul lines and pull a Bartman if that's what it takes.

Right on. Plus, Munoz struggled whenever he went to Triple-A. That's something Willis didn't do (I think).
