trading away half our bullpen would be horrible
  2. this is perfect. we b**** at Kenny to make a trade for an ace. then we b**** at him for making a trade for an ace.
  3. I have absolutely no problem with this deal. Freddy > MO. I'm very glad we have him now. MO was promising, but I think we're going to get Garcia long term and it's going to work out OK for us! Great move Kenny!

The Brew Crew has a decent chance to win the game today, too.

Meaning they've been struggling just as much as we have...
  6. I got that feeling, too. I never felt it about Koch or even Foulke, but I feel it about Shingo.
  7. I dunno, it's been clicking on all cylinders lately...
  8. by official score-keeping, Rauch didn't get a quality start. You gotta go 6 innings with 3 or less ER.

I think it's a coincidence that Maggs went out of the line-up and our pitching started sucking at the same time. Both happened around the West Coast trip, the last time the Starters pitched well.
  10. Wow. We got a quality start out of the "Fifth starter." This kid looked pretty good!
  11. so is Ortiz the Ace or the stopgap?
  12. I'll take Valentin's errors (or as Hawk says, Err-ahs) because they don't cost us games.
  13. One of Prior's biggest weapons that other teams view him as some sort of Cyborg from 21XX that was sent back in time to be a lean, mean pitching machine. The few outings he's had against the Sox, they haven't had that fear and have thus gotten to him. That's how the Marlins did it last year: No Fear.
  14. I heard Moyer came out of the bullpen the other night... anybody know if that's right? So the thinking is: Moyer Smoltz Ortiz Sheets I wonder if KW has the bullets to pull off the fleecing of the decade: Garcia AND Guardado
  15. Yeah, Sea I'm sure is going to be packing it in soon, but in a way, that's not "flying under the radar" since everybody wants Garcia. I was wondering if the partner was maybe the Rockies or perhaps... the Diamondbacks?
  16. Frank the Tank! Frank the Tank! Frank the Tank! Frank the Tank!
  17. Fabulous. Thanks for the news, guys!
  18. Interesting. They have heated up lately, as we saw the Beltran deal go down. I wonder who they are looking at... And "last 48 hours," does it maybe involve Rauch?
  19. give us a summary if you can, please! you're the best!

Anybody seen Baj? Does he have pretty good control? Thanks!
  21. Prior's mortal. We've gotten to him before; we can do it again. Plus, Carlos Lee and Jose Valentin are certified Cubs-killers, almost on a level that Thome was a Sox-killer.
  22. we can always hope for the injury bug...
  23. and that's not a good thing for a reliever: control issues
  24. uh-oh? you don't have to have the division lead by the ASB to make the playoffs, unless that's in Brando's special rules book.
