  1. Hope he’s ok mentally
  2. Exactly, what are they waiting for? It’s beyond obvious the plan was flawed and the players for the most part have made a joke of social distancing during games.
  3. And now Renteria is showing symptoms for the Sox. This whole thing is ridiculous. How is anyone enjoying this?
  4. Just imagine purposely getting Delmonico potentially one more at bat than Luis Robert.
  5. From my experience dealing with these parents, a lot of them did a solid job of social distancing up until the last month. From then, I’ve heard every excuse in the book for why they’re letting their kids play at a crowded park, have sleepovers, etc. Too many parents that god forbid didn’t want to lose their “summer”.
  6. How else are 9 and 10 year olds going to get that elusive baseball scholarship to Virginia without playing 3 games a day in 100 degree heat during a pandemic?
  7. I enjoy the Little League coaches that wear them when being a base coach, but at the same time let their kid and 11 others all sit as close as possible in the dugout with no masks on. I’m not lying when I say I was at a tournament yesterday and of the 500 people in attendance, 3 had masks on.
  8. Because there’s so much research on the long term health ramifications of the virus.
  9. So how in the world is MLB letting the Reds possibly play tonight? They likely have at least 3 cases, if not more. Did they learn nothing from the Marlins situation.
  10. Yep Sox seemingly caught a huge break with Mazara not spreading it.
  11. The reality of the situation is these players are used to going out on the town most nights their entire career for food, drinks and companionship. Does everyone really think they’re going to stop now?
  12. These teams are flying commercial. People can go on these same planes tonight not knowing a professional team was on same plane earlier in the day.
  13. Whatever you do, don’t go to Little League games. They might as well be COVID parties.
  14. I would be worried about an outbreak with the Reds also.
  15. Well if the season is cancelled, at least it answers the question of “will the world end of Gio starts for the Sox”.
  16. Saw somewhere that not all in this case are asymptomatic
  17. Marlins beat reporter saying he’s being texted that season is “in jeopardy” https://mobile.twitter.com/CraigMish/status/1287740873560784898
  18. Yes but NBA is doing all they can to prevent players from having it coming into the games. MLB is literally doing nothing to prevent players from catching it off the field.
  19. Hope everyone is ok. Season should have never happened.
  20. López usually starts higher with velocity and then loses it as game goes on. Rodon is the opposite.
  21. I must be the only one who hated the idea of Timmy batting lead off. Said all along if you want to maximize offense, Grandal should probably be hitting first.
  22. Maybe Ricky will let Yoan pitch in the 9th? Would make as much sense as forgetting who’s pitching today.
  23. It’s insulting that we’re supposedly contending and seeing Delmonico batting 2nd in game 3 of the season.
  24. If López is injured and throwing 90, my guess is he’s done for the season. The typical arm injuries with 6-8 week recovery times are killer this season.
