They really need to start developing some of these mid-level prospects, as that will help with the depth. Sadly, most of the mid-level guys have imploded in the minors this year (I believe fangraphs illustrated that today).
Madrigal made good contact but it ended up being a pretty routine fly out to center. That's still my biggest worry with him, as you hate to see his best bullets to that part of the field being routine outs.
You have so many teams that need late inning help, it really feels like the Sox should be able to get great value for Colome or Bummer:
Phillies, Nationals, Braves, Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals, Dodgers, Red Sox, Rays, Twins
I would prefer they actually see if Covey can be an opener for next year and use him in that role now instead of wasting innings seeing him get his brains smashed in as a true starter.
