  1. It’s less about home run power for me and more about being able to keep outfield honest and hit it over their heads. If he can do that, he will have a good career.
  2. You have a lot higher hopes for AJ Reed than most
  3. I see I missed the memo that everyone was getting wasted tonight and pretending Madrigal got to play 81 games in Colorado
  4. Spoiler alert....he can’t hit LHP. A platoon catcher would be fine except for the whole he’s not good at catching or hitting part.
  5. Harold Reynolds continues to be the king of wrong predictions
  6. It’s just antiquated bs like we see too often in various aspects of the organization
  7. With Cease called up, there’s hardly any reason to check out the pitching part of the box scores. It’s been an overall debacle.
  8. Fulmer drastically needs a change of scenery
  9. Wonder if he can catch up to Hendricks and his gas tomorrow
  10. Yeah agree with moan here, they should aim higher. One of the few positions they can bring in an impact bat. I don’t think Walker or Rutherford have enough thump to play RF.
  11. Alzolay and Amaya is more like it. Royals have no need for Babe Ruth.
  12. I can barely listen to sports radio in Chicago anymore because it’s either Len or Jesse Rogers on seemingly 5 times a day on either channel.
  13. I like you as a poster, but it’s ok to just admit he sucked in a game. You don’t need to act as Giolito’s publicist...we all like him.
  14. Can’t wait for a few years from now where only Madrigal doesn’t have HR power in the lineup. Having a lineup with Jay, Yolmer and Tilson is comical in this home run era.
  15. Look who’s agreeing with me now
  16. And the fact for some reason they can’t get an actual DH. Jay and Tilson being in the same lineup against LHP is funny.
  17. This is an extremely poor lineup against LHP. It’s kind of amazing they’ve played as well as they have against LHP of late.
  18. Couldn’t agree more. I’m disappointed in how he performed vs Cubs but thrilled overall with what we’ve seen this year.
  19. Exactly, and you could see it with his velocity dipping that inning.
  20. Sure they’re more talented, but they definitely have their warts also. It’s funny how similar they are in that they should have great success if they can throw their fastball for strikes.
  21. Yep we had a discussion in that very thread about how Giolito was struggling with his fastball command but was using his changeup more effectively than he did in recent starts.
