  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 05:40 PM) This could be very interesting. If the Sox were willing to back off of the two top guys, and take say 1 top guy plus 4-5 B guys instead, is the deal still worth it? Quality over quantity for me.
  2. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 02:35 PM) Quintana and the bullpen pieces fit what the Brewers are doing rather nicely. Send them Shields and Swarzek with the Sox eating the remaining salary for Shields as well. Why would Brewers want Shields?
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 03:59 PM) Tatis gets brought up in every other thread about how great he is, and how stupid the Sox are. It is the cause of the day. He was actually called a "super prospect" the other day. Yep he has all the makings of a top 5 prospect in a year or two. Some scouts suggested to the Baseball Prospectus expert that he's a top ten guy right now
  4. Another setback for Jones...really disappointing they couldn't flip him this year http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article/241...ooked-at-again/
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 03:40 AM) Put the title on Braun for a long time. Yes
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 02:02 AM) So Zack Burdi got pulled from the game with an apparent arm issue.. Yikes. That's concerning, hope it's not another TJS for the Burdi family.
  7. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 09:10 PM) Not very impressed with Hader or Ortiz but Trent Clark fits the mold of what the Sox are looking for in hitters. I know Milwaukee wouldn't trade three outfielders (Brinson/Phillips/Clark) in the same trade but one can dream right? Clark has shown the last two years his hit tool is mediocre
  8. Why are they throwing so many fastballs? Keep getting two strikes on lefties and then throwing fastballs.
  9. Awful pitch selection this inning
  10. Joe Ross just left with an injury for the Nats. Velocity was scary low for him today
  11. That might be the worst pitch call of the year. 1-2 count and you throw a fastball?
  12. Wish Kahnle threw his change up more. It's his best pitch by far
  13. Seems like Kahnle allows a run every outing of late. His trade value has definitely plummeted
  14. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 03:44 AM) I don't think we're moving him, but a team could use Jose right now. Cafardo's column today said Sox are hoping to trade him (along with like ten others)
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 03:38 AM) It's a win even the pro tank people shouldn't mind. Those three having good outings is a win in all aspects. Barring a couple of errors, I want those guys putting up zeros. Yep now that Swarzak got thru 7th, I want Sox to win
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 03:23 AM) Dude had 10 K's and solid enough velocity.. that's gonna make alot of scouts raise their eyebrows (in a good way). Ton of swings and miss
  17. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 04:18 AM) Call me crazy, but I think this was a very positive outing for Q. His curve was nasty, he got squeezed a little, and his defense let him down a couple times. I would have to think scouts were happy with what they saw, regardless of the boxscore. It was very good, especially stranding those two runs
  18. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 04:15 AM) I thought he had a chance but the ball carried Were you his agent that helped make the fake PEDs site?
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 9, 2017 -> 03:13 AM) Let's hope Hahn and company are taking notes that drafting bats only guys won't exactly cut it in the future. He played that so poorly. Instead of turning around and running to a spot, he basically trotted back at less than full speed
