You should be following future sox Twitter right now. Awesome stuff from the panel going on

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 04:15 PM) You laugh now but just wait until the Sox sign one of these guys. The board name will change to ChernobylTalk with the theme song " two suns in the sunset". It would be fine with me if it is in addition to Desmond. If they sign Rollins and DeJesus, then melt away
-
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) Just because I'm cruel, I'm going to throw the names of Victorino, Sizemore, Venable, McLouth and DeJesus out there now in preparation of the cubs re-signing Fowler. Sorry, the caffeine from my morning coffee hasn't hit yet. Victorino and Venable are third tier guys for me right now. Fowler is top, Jackson/Jennings second and then these guys

So when we're right around .500 in July, what do we do?

NL Central is a joke. Two of the teams in that division one win 60 games. NL West is way better. -

.500 at the deadline in this division likely has the Sox in contention. -
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 02:01 AM) Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 45s45 seconds ago With Jean Segura in, Dbacks also have Nick Ahmed and Chris Owings at SS and are in need of relief, which is area of depth for #WhiteSox. I think they will hold on to all 3 in case Owings doesn't rebound from an awful year.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 01:04 AM) Emma works for the score, Levine works for the score. Levine said the same thing a few days ago.Hmmmmm. Are they dating? Seriously though. I think it's very believable it comes down to both Chicago teams. I agree that Fowler would probably prefer the cubs but one interesting thing has been speculated and that's the possibility of the cubs desire to get compensation for Fowler because as of now their first pick would be #104 overall in the draft. OTOH, punting the draft and signing Fowler to give them a solid lead off bat ain't a bad idea either. Should be interesting to see where Fowler ends up. They don't care about the draft. They will just spend a fortune on Lazarito with the money they can't spend on the draft

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 11:59 PM) Is Shwarber catching? Soler the 4th OF? Can't see them paying Fowler a good amount to be the 4th OF. No idea, just read that's what Levine said
-
And also, I'm not sure this reporter is basing it on anything besides what Levine has been saying all week
-
Read where Levine said the Cubs might trade Coghlan instead of Soler if they get Fowler
-
When first question is about Fowler, he answered it perfectly. If he confirms interest and then he goes back to the Cubs, the fan base would turn on him even more. Hahn's policy is not to comment on rumors, and this is what he did.
-
What do people expect Hahn to day? As someone that wants them to add another impact bat, I was thrilled with the tweets that came out. It was very promising, as they could have easily said "heavy lifting is done, we are confident this is the group we have for ST". The LaRoche stuff was fascinating as well, as it seems he will have to earn playing time this year and if he looks lost in ST, who even knows if he makes the roster.
-
Hawk is going to be all about Lawrie this year. Can't wait to hear his comparisons.
-
Not necessarily soxfest but a great Hawk interview. At the end, he says Hahn isn't done https://theathletic.com/2016/01/30/hawk-har...ne-talking-yet/

With the Dodgers signing Kendrick today, it makes an Ethier deal possibly more likely.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:33 PM) Avi apparently got booed? That kinda crap pisses me off so much. I don't want the dude starting either but it's not like the guy is lazy and doesn't care about his job, don't boo him at a fan convention. Awful. Another thing that sucks about this is Avi is close to Abreu and Melky, two of the clubhouse leaders. Nothing good can come from booing Avi.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 01:39 AM) Big focus on White Sox poor starts to season, a problem for a while now. Ventura said players might play longer in Cactus League games. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/693231071220121601 Ventura said regular lineup might play together more as unit in spring training. Also more ABs for starters. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/693231279047884801 Ya they need to get more at bats together. Last year I kept wondering when the actual lineup was going to get more time together and they didn't That noise you hear is balta clapping

QUOTE (Sockin @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 01:38 AM) Sounds like they expect Anderson to force his way onto the team sometime this year. Since you are there, do you agree than Hahn implied he was working on a deal earlier today? Someone tweeted that
-
QUOTE (longshot7 @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 12:05 AM) I'm at the Hahn/Ventura Q&A and there is NO ONE HERE. LOL! They have killed the enthusiasm for this club. Could not believe it. Sad state of affairs. Ticket sales are probably horrific.

QUOTE (spiderman @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:45 PM) Is Sanchez safe as a utility IF? Shouldn't be if he can't play SS

Ventura: "White Sox have potential to be dangerous"

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:40 PM) Avi is down 20 lbs. and worked 3 days in Miami with Steverson and is now done swinging at bad pitches. I do like hearing they are going to have him stand taller at the plate -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 12:33 AM) Avi apparently got booed? That kinda crap pisses me off so much. I don't want the dude starting either but it's not like the guy is lazy and doesn't care about his job, don't boo him at a fan convention. Awful. Yep, it's pathetic. You knew this would happen, the team had to delete a tweet about him yesterday due to mean responses.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:08 PM) Unless they are lining something up with the Indians or Padres, I see no fits for them to add Fowler. That Dickerson trade kinda f***ed them. I don't think the Cubs brass cared for Soler's effort when it was cold out. If Maddon is advocating to bring back Fowler, then it's incredibly likely they will make it happen. To me, Cubs should not trade Soler. He's a wild card on a team that can afford to give him time to show what he can do with so many other stars on the team.

QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 09:50 PM) Julie DiCaro seems to think that Fowler is staying with the Cubs, which also echoes a few other things that have been put out lately. Would really hurt the Sox if they miss on another FA. She's been right on a lot this offseason with regards to the Cubs. Have a feeling this is another Zobrist situation where there is a deal in place and Theo just has to give the go ahead that the corresponding move is finalized

Ryan (Prospect Heaven): Do you have any favorite players from the 2015 draft that just don't have quite the track record/sample size to crack the 101? Top 101 Chat with Craig Goldstein: Fulmer or Aiken are probably the first guys I add to this list from the 2015 draft. After that I like Burrows.
