  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 09:50 PM) What is weird is he was fine until it came out he preferred LF. Now he sucks at both. Yep, very strange indeed
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) Rios looked like he had it, De Aza was coming in hot, Rios turns away, De Aza never actually tried to catch it. It's a triple that landed within three feet of two guys that both could have caught it with some minor communication. Hawk go nuts?
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) (Sees on gameday that Hosmer tripled, just assumes it related to the defense). haha, same thing here once I saw it said tripled to De Aza
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 08:41 PM) That sucks for Jesse. That clearly should not be considered a triple. I missed it, what did he do?
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 08:19 PM) Even with large chunks of this team removed...the Marlins are really awful. Marlins have decent pitching, but you have to think they'll trade Nolasco and limit the number of innings for Fernandez. I saw someone mention the Pirates should go after Stanton, and as someone that hates the Cubs, and outfield of Marte, McCutchen and Stanton would make me very happy.
  6. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 08:17 PM) Let's hope they are wrong and the Sox can grab that #1 pick! They project the Sox winning about 10 more games than Astros/Marlins. Unless Astros play the Sox 20 more times and Marlins play at San Fran another 20 times, it's going to be tough to suck more than them.
  7. For those that care, baseball prospectus projects the Sox as finishing with the 3rd worst record in baseball (Marlins and Astros)
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 07:52 PM) Let's see if Quintana can survive the 6th inning/3rd time thru the order. Figures, his lack of stamina is shocking this season
  9. Let's see if Quintana can survive the 6th inning/3rd time thru the order.
  10. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 07:31 PM) Alcantara and Vogelbach as well. I think Alcantara will be their 2B of the future. Vogelbach can really rake and will be DHing for someone in the future. Junior Lake is a very intriguing prospect as well
  11. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 08:02 PM) Haha well played, sir. I don't really want anyone bunting but I know that is extreme as well. All you're doing is lowering your chances of a big inning. With someone like De Aza at the plate, a DP is very unlikely anyways. Against a pitcher with a 5 ERA, you shouldn't have to try and play for one run in the 3rd inning.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 06:53 PM) Not sure anyone is watching but asking De Aza to sacrifice bunt with 2 guys on in the 3rd is f***ing stupid. You don't like having your best hitter with RISP and third leading HR hitter bunting?
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 07:31 PM) Dan Haren is done. The Nationals have been incredibly disappointing to this point. It should have been obvious to anyone watching him last year that he was done.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 07:24 PM) All I know of his defense is that he made his 15th error last night. That's pretty bad. I think he has more errors than that and it was Michael Johnson who made the error.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2013 -> 03:33 PM) Great, what else is new? Some of those guys are going to HAVE to emerge as studs, aren't they? In a BA chat yesterday, they said the Cubs have the best collection of offensive prospects in all of baseball
  16. Cubs are the huge favorites to sign the guy profiled in that article.

    0-3, 2K for Hawkins now

2 errors on the same play for Anderson. The starter for Bristol having a really good game.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 05:33 PM) Have fun on your cattle ranches El Caballo. Thanks for some major power hitting, absolute domination of the Cubs, and being part of the trade that helped bring a WS title to Chicago. Awesome post!
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 07:05 AM) Unfortunately, the Cardinals are the best-run franchise in baseball and don't do stuff like this. Of course not, I was just trying to show a package of prospects that would be more than fair value for Sale.
  21. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 05:25 AM) We're going to critique the end of the first quarter subs now? Parker left the game with 3 minutes left in the first and Duncan with 2 minutes. Yeah the Heat went on an 8-1 in the final 3 minutes to take an 18-16 lead but when are these guys going to sit? You guys act like a coach sitting his key players to finish a quarter and get a few minutes for the tv timeout is something new. Bosh and Wade were taken out at the same time as Parker. Is Pops suppose to play these guys for minutes 9-12 and not think about the fatigue level for minutes 38-48? Want to question the possession down 4 with 30 seconds fine. But there is nothing to argue when it comes to the resting of them in the 1st or the first minute of the 4th. The broadcasters were questioning it as well, as they were asking where was the scoring going to come from for the Spurs. Unfortunately, it was during this span when Battier started to catch fire.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 05:17 AM) End of the first when they were both on the bench is when Miami made the initial run and once again TP on the bench for your most important possession which makes Manu the primary ball handler...DUMB. Didn't the Heat go on an 8-0 run in the 1st or 2nd quarter when Duncan/Parker were on the bench together?
  23. I'm quite thankful the refs did a great job overall tonight. I didn't want to have to hear about the poor officiating for the next few days.
  24. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 04:00 AM) He benched Parker and Duncan to start the fourth quarter. The same exact decision that already cost them a championship in game 6. Benching Duncan and Parker together at all is laughably dumb. Then he inexplicably takes Parker out on the last meaningful possession while drawing up a give and go for Ginobli. Just terrible. And you could tell the urgency the Heat played with increased when they saw those two out at the same time.
  25. Spoelstra schooling Popovich this quarter
