  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 24, 2014 -> 06:29 PM) Offense MIA in NYC. I'm beginning to believe Gillaspie is going to end up in a platoon at 3rd with Davidson next year.
  2. Avi with quite the bad series this weekend
  3. 4-5 for Anderson...wow
  4. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Aug 24, 2014 -> 01:11 AM) I won't cheer for the Sox to lose but I won't cry about it if they do. I guess I should start looking into potential top ten draft picks for next year. I like what I read about Cameron although at this point the Sox would have to fall further the rest of this season or he would have to fall next spring. I'm going to start reading more about the players mentioned by others in this thread. Basically, the way I feel right now is that I want to see the core guys do well. If that causes them to win the game, then great. However, if there's a game where Avi/Abreu/Eaton do nothing, and the Sox score because someone like Dunn did most of the damage, then it's not too exciting to me.
  5. 3-4, 2b and 3 RBI for Anderson
  6. That was awesome!
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) Who's watching the game? The number 2 hitter on Las Vegas is fantastic
  8. So Danks and Sanchez get to hit, but not ADA? Ha
  9. Avi made it real close at first
  10. Thought that was long gone
  11. QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) I think we will acquire a left handed bat to platoon with Flowers and Nieto will start the year at AAA to get some at bats and work on defense. No problem with Flowers as the platoon guy with a solid lefty hitter. I don't think Flowers should be the starter next year.
  12. Abreu with some good at bats
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 07:30 PM) Inconsistent playing time will do that Yeah, seems he has lost his concept of the strike zone. It will be interesting to see if they send him to AAA next year or keep him as the back up
  14. Nieto struggling of late
  15. If the scores hold up, Sox will only be 2.5 up on Cubs. With Edwin out of their rotation, things could get interesting.
  16. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 08:09 PM) Avi needs to stay back on those breaking balls and take them the other way. Which he typically does, he's just out of sorts in his last 6 at bats. At least he gets to face a lefty tomorrow.
  17. Avi looks sluggish. Did last night as well
  18. It's about time to give Dunn's at bats to someone else
  19. ADA with nice base running
  20. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) How long was his fly out? Routine, 20 feet from track
  21. If this team tried hard enough, they can earn that 6th pick
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 06:11 PM) Garcia can't get his hands in on a belt high fastball and then rolls over the next pitch for his 6-3 special. A lot to like about Avi, but I am nowhere near as big on him as most of the people around here. I have always thought of him as a strong complimentary player, but not likely all star caliber. If he is your 5th best hitter in you lineup, you should have a good offense.
  23. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 06:54 PM) lol Missed it, what happened on error
  24. Avi looks way more comfortable against LHP than RHP
  25. I would love to see Mitchell get a call-up in a few weeks. It's worth seeing if the changes at the plate are legit. http://cltknightsinsider.blogspot.com/2014...-hit-steak.html
