  1. Here's where a single to right is a better plan than trying to win it. Lyon will likely throw everything on the outer half.
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:50 AM) Don't overswing please. This has been a DP lately.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:48 AM) Wouldn't be shocked if a lot of that depends on the rest of this series. Excellent point
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:45 AM) The Phillies are looking for relief now that Lidge is down. Can we oblige? It would have to be a 3 way trade with Dotel going there and Utley to the Cubs and Reed Johnson here.
  5. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:45 AM) Oh boy. That's what we need. Brent and Pods in the same outfield here we come... I hope this is not true, so please someone say they're watching the Tigers broadcast. A friend of mine watching in Mississippi is getting the Tigers broadcast and said that their announcers are saying Quentin is out for another month.
  6. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:40 AM) Guillen is far more valuable to this organization than Williams...I can't believe I just typed that. Hahn cna easily replace Williams, who can replace Guillen? Cora? He is as clueless as they come. Guillen has no strengths as a manager anymore. At least KW has the aggressiveness tag. Think about this...Ozzie's been tossed one time all season, and that was sticking up for Jhonny Perralta.
  7. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:40 AM) The team that Ozzie wants would suck pretty bad. I'm pretty sure. You don't want a team with Pierre in CF, Abreu in RF, Figgins at 3B, and give away 5 outs a game via the bunt?
  8. Wow, what the hell is wrong with Jermaine out there? He's not even moving tonight on fly balls. I hope he's not injured.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:38 AM) Ha touche. I just like a lot of things he does at the plate. He's still way too anxious up there, but he takes pitches real nicely, never looks like he's confused at all and just has a good overall approach up there. I do think he's ready, just give him a little more time, he's going to start hitting very soon here. Give him a few more years of strength and conditioning, and he's going to be amazing.
  10. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:37 AM) Don't worry about Fathom. During Bulls season we watched for Rose, I watch for Beckham and Poreda now. I want to see the team win the games like all of us, but I don't get mad. Maybe I'm just to mellow. I agree that it's great to be able to look forward to seeing Beckham play. That's why so many of us get pissed when he's not in the lineup. Hopefully Poreda will be fun to watch, and he doesn't pitch like Cotts Jr.
  11. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:35 AM) I can't help but think even though it may be crazy but Ozzie seems to want to lose so it might force KW to do something with this roster... The next person to go very well may be Ozzie, I honestly believe that right now.
  12. What a freaking joke. I honestly would have rather seen Wise up there, that's how bad it is right now.
  13. This is funny...we're facing a LHP, and one of the weakest hitters in baseball is our first PH off the bench. Nice roster KW.
  14. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:31 AM) i have a feeling you and i are on the same page in thinking where the WTP came from Honestly, no. I don't think he was a PEDs user. If you ever saw Konerko out of jersey (that sounds gay), but he had absolutely no muscles. I think he's just past his prime, and he has a little less bat speed.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:28 AM) How many Aaron Poredas/Matt Thorntons do we need in the organization? If they're tradeable commodities, then why not?
  16. QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:27 AM) With Milton "DL" Bradley constantly getting hurt, Reed Johnson is going nowhere. He's better than what we got but is a 4th outfielder on a good team. Please post more, I really enjoy your insight.
  17. PK has turned into the king of warning track power. Hopefully when it gets a little warmer, the ball will travel 10 more feet. If not, then you might want to trade him while he still has value.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:25 AM) I don't know, you're the Cubs expert. Don't remind me....Sox lose, Tigers win, Cubs win, Brewers/Cards lose, underwhelming draft = bad night
  19. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 03:23 AM) We've stooped to an all new low. Did something happen in the last 24 hours where Reed Johnson became a hot commodity?
