8/25 Gm. 1 - SOX vs./@ BAL, 5:05 CT, CSN
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:57 PM) If AJ gets the bunt down this game is tied. No way they pitch to CQ then with Crede on deck.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:55 PM) If you want to rip on Ozzie here, go ahead. There is certainly NO excuse to have A.J. bunting here. Yep, just got home to see that debacle. What a f***ing joke, bunting in front of Quentin. When you add this to what happened in the actual game months ago, you have just a brutal managerial game.

8/25 Gm. 1 - SOX vs./@ BAL, 5:05 CT, CSN
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 10:45 PM) Maybe they figure they're more likely to want him in the 2nd game? Here's my thinking though...this is like the top of the 9th in a home game where you pitch your closer to give yourself a chance at the win. If Ozzie wants a lefty on the mound, then I don't think there's any question Thornton is your guy. We'll have Jenks and Dotel available later tonight anyways. I just hate using our worst reliever in such a big situation.

The fact we're pitching Ramirez instead of Thornton makes me think that Thornton asked for another day off. That's the only possible reason I could think of.

QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 10:25 PM) Horacio Ramirez is starting the first game Ugh, why? We have Carrasco or Thornton in the pen. With Richard on the mound in game 2 and CQ up in the bottom of the inning, we should be doing everything we can to get 3 quick outs. Instead, we're putting a guy on the mound who's been giving up about 2 hits per inning.

50 FAVORITE WHITE SOX PLAYERS
I'm shocked he's this low. Good thing I didn't make a list, as he would have been #4.

Chicago 2016?
The Tribune stating that Chicago's the front runner now. Also, if MJ is still alive, it will be him.

It's going to be either Carrasco or Thornton.

2008 Beijing Summer Olympics Thread
I don't like volleyball, but the last 5 points or so of the men's championship game were awesome. Seeing the coach go to a corner afterwards due to being overwhelmed with emotion was an amazing moment.

White Sox vs. Rays - 1:05 CSN, TBS
QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) If Jim Thome was so unclutch, why wouldn't Tampa pitch to him in that situation? He's a prime DP candidate. I thought they should have pitched to him, as the chances of a strikeout against T. Miller were a lot greater than an Alexei strike out or double play.

WS WINNA!
It was great to see this team give away a possible win to only comeback to win a game they should have lost. Huge momentum heading into tomorrow's strange DH.

White Sox vs. Rays - 1:05 CSN, TBS
BTW, terrible managing by Maddon leaving Zobrist in LF for the 9th and walking Thome.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 09:11 PM) All I know is that if AJ played for the Rays and did the same thing, I'd be pissed right now. Hawk would be dead, I firmly believe.

I like this....Alexei's better for this situation.

White Sox vs. Rays - 1:05 CSN, TBS
So Santo and 101...here's a chance for Thome. Not going to lie, he's the last person I want up in this situation.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 24, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) I don't think easily. Minnesota is putting themselves into great position to make a playoff run if they get in. Part of the reason I am so angered by this White Sox team is really that I think we could make a run to the World Series if we get into the playoffs. As good as the AL is, there is no dominant team. With my never-ending Cubs obsession, I was thinking about who would match up best with them in the WS. Honestly, I think the White Sox would now that Manny is off the Red Sox and Beckett is hurt.
