Weird managing...this is where Linebrink should be coming in.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:27 AM) When he's on, and when he has command of his pitches, he does. Right now, he doesn't have s*** and he's a waste of a roster spot. He hasn't since a game at Oakland about a month after we acquired him.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:24 AM) But he has the best stuff of any of our relievers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, some people on this site aren't very smart. His 92 mph fastball and uncontrollable slider makes him a very average pitcher in terms of stuff now. That was bad managing there, as you have to know the type of hitters MacDougal would be facing. PLEASE GET WASSERMAN ON THE BIG LEAGUE ROSTER!

And there's the Cabrera unimpressive defensive play of the game. Good thing he wasn't behind Jenks in Game 4 of the World Series.

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:20 AM) Thome has no clue at the plate right now. He will not see another fastball until he proves he can lay off the slow in the dirt s***. He is pathetic right now. I would have rather them pinch hit Anderson that AB WHERE IS PABLO!

MacDougal against a patient team is a recipe for disaster.

As someone mentioned earlier, the worst thing that could have happened was Thome's opening day against C.C. It sure would be nice to have Fields with the big league club to play against LHP.

Absolutely pathetic....sit his ass tomorrow. And we're bringing in MacDougal for some odd reason.

Not even close on the first two pitches.

Good job Cabrera....take him out to center big guy!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:09 AM) Ozzie changes his lineup too often, people complain. Ozzie gets a set lineup that he pulls out every day, people complain. Is there no end? When it's against lefties, and we have some players really struggling....it's frustrating. I don't know why you take that kind of tone, as you also have that statistic in your sig.

I can't believe we continue to play Uribe. He needs to be our defensive replacement late in games.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:08 AM) The line up needs a little shaking up tomorrow. I'd like to see Anderson in and Quentin sit. Plus I think Tome needs a day off to get his hitting head on straight. The biggest hit I can remember him getting since his 2 homer opening day is when Cabrear slipped and fell into the ump on Sunday and the ball fell aqt 3B. It's real simple...he's trying to pull everything.

Smith out, the former Jairo Garcia is in. It would be nice to have a ph here for Uribe.

Dotel sure seems to hang a ton of sliders. Hopefully with more work, he finds the release point for that.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:03 AM) yeah used to be in the brewers organization...was a big time prospect at one point...i believe another soft throwing lefty...he had struggles with his weight with the brewcrew iirc I will snap if we use this same lineup.

OD is just an awful nickname for Dotel. He really is a shell of his former self though.

If the A's go to the bullpen, it's times like this we really need to have a lefty bench off of the bat to hit for Uribe.

QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:43 AM) I should be happy we got on the board. But I don't trust anyone else besides Swisher can get on base. Well, he's guaranteed to bat again.
