The White Sox are an Average Team
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 6, 2007 -> 03:45 AM) When was the last time we had the hitting and pitching hot at the same time? The '05 playoffs? If we could ever get both going at the same time, we'd be outstanding. First half of last season.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNNER!!!
About time we were the benefits of bloopers falling at big spots.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Hooray!!!! Great job by the bullpen. Go enjoy the Bulls now.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
I think Fox just sped up their radar gun for that pitch.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) Anybody else wondering how we will manage to snatch defeat from the elusive jaws of victory in this game? If it happens, I'll only laugh.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:30 PM) I missed it: what did Erstad do this inning? Hit a 10 hop rocket back to Oliver, but Oliver was blinded by the specialness that is Erstad.

Can Mackowiak hit a sac fly? Grinder ball at it's finest!

Haha....grinder baby!

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:20 PM) So Greg Walker is the reason Sweeney just doubled down the line? Okay... It was sarcasm by Karros.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
That a boy Sweeney! We need to get at least one run in here.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Tough timing there with the Kentucky Derby.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Wow, you have to take the guy at 2nd there.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Better get more movement on that slider.

Darin Erstad is Awesome
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) What's even funnier is how the Angels announcers recognize how he lost the ball in the lights immediately, yet Hawk and DJ said the "veteran" Erstad was "deeking the runners." LOL. The guy on third was going to score no matter what. I thought he was trying to deek the runners also.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:06 PM) With that low of a pitch count, I would've let Garland try to pitch over it. Have him build some confidence. Everytime he sends someone out there, and then immediately pulled it makes it look like he's making a mistake or second doubting himself. I understand, but I would hope Garland would have enough confidence and maturity that after 7 innings, he understands being taken out.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Actually a decent offspeed pitch. If MacDougal's coming in, better see only sliders.

QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:06 PM) so a manager only has a good season if he manages a world series.........gotcha You have to know your personnel.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:03 PM) Typical Ozzie. Exactly, he'd rather have Garland face the righty, Thornton the switch hitter, and then go to the bullpen. I'd much rather he just let the righty start the inning. I don't think his style of managing has worked in the last year and this season. I hope Ozzie knows that it's Orlando Cabrera that owns Garland, and not Francisco Cabrera.

White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
We haven't used our main bullpen guys in ages. Go for the f***ing win Ozzie! Thanks for leaving him in Ozzie for that batter. I hate you!

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) Garland only has 81 pitches. How has he looked the past couple of innings? People wanted Garland to stay in during the Detroit game. I just know Cabrera and Matthews Jr. have hit him very hard in his career.
-
White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
It's fine Iguchi, RBI's are overrated. Someone go punch Ozzie before he lets Garland start this inning.
-
White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Couple of hard hits out this inning. Good thing we're so fast.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 5, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) Don't worry. We can always go into our minor league system and find someone to fulfill those requirements. Right? Right?! If recent events haven't warranted a complete restructuring of our minor league department, I don't know what will. It's simply inexcusable for every offensive prospect we call up to be so unprepared to contribute at this level. Avoid the double play PK
-
White Sox vs. Angels, 5/5/07 (W)
Nice play by PK. With Cabrera and Matthew Jr's success vs Garland in the past, MacDougal should start the 8th.
