QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) What makes this worse is that the alleged major league hitters in our line up are just as good. And the good news about about major league hitters is that they have big contracts and are not going anywhere except for maybe Dye. Crede will be gone this offseason, and Iguchi might as well.

QUOTE(rafacosta @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 07:02 PM) That's why BA is on the bench...trying to be a hero! One hit ball by our SP and we still find a way to be losing... I thought that was one of the better swings I can remember from Anderson.

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 07:08 PM) Its cold, we cant be expected to hit. So you're saying it was cold during the entire 2nd half of last season when we saw a very similar offense?
-
Look at our lineup today....what a freaking disgrace. We have three minor league caliber hitters in our lineup. Thankfully, KW was more focused on upgrading our pitching for 2010 then he was for upgrading what was a tired offense for 50 pct of last season.

Wedding shower time....it would be a delightful gift to come back and see the Sox are winning or game was postponed.

QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:29 PM) I swear, why do I even bother watching this team against lefties? Thankfully we don't face many LHP in the AL Central.
-
Wow, just terrible. This team is flat as can be. It's like the hitting just continued from the 2nd half of last year.
-
Crede's swing there was the epitome of why we suck vs LHP. High outside pitch, and he gave himself no chance but to pull it in the air. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:25 PM) So wait, CC got in the way of a routine play and as a result they ruled it a hit? Yes
-
Why don't we ever have Dye shift Sizemore more down the line?
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:23 PM) Was Darin's single to the pitcher a full swing? It was....it would have been a routine grounder to SS. Would you agree that he's hitting a soft .200?
-
Better velocity on that pitch up in the zone.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:19 PM) NICE f***ING PLAY CREDE Missed it, what happened?
-
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:18 PM) I have a hard time with Gustavo Molina being a major league catcher. He should be catching in AA. Like WHarris said before, anyone that thinks losing Toby Hall wasn't a big deal should do themselves a favor and just not watch baseball anymore.

QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 05:18 PM) I see the Count is real sharp again today. Looks like he's throwing about 88 mph.
-
It's going to be a disappointing year for everyone if we don't figure out a way to hit Santana, Sabathia, and every other tough lefty we face.
-
Had a bad feeling about Molina handling the forkball. It's almost like catching a knuckler. This team is just really bad right now. I agree with Hawk, I'm thrilled we have the record that we do.
-
We made a big mistake by not putting Perez on the 25 man roster.

How dare you have Pods in the back of the bus. If there's a bus Ozzie is involved with, Pods must be at the very front. Great job Rex!

Everyone begging for Ichiro might want to hold off for a little. He looks beyond bad right now, with his bat speed drastically reduced. I wonder if all the FA talk is bothering him.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 04:33 AM) 1st and foremost, I want what is best for the Sox. I root for the laundry, not for the players. If Terrero is the best option for CF, and is going to help the Sox win more games than any other CF option, then put him in. I just want to win. Now, as it stands, Erstad is doing very little to help this team win. He has turned in Brian Anderson-esc AB's the last 5+ games. I understand there is probably a cheerleader type effect he brings, which is great, but he can do that on the bench. What bothers me about this whole situation is the 2005 off-season. Williams and the organization looked at the CF depth chart for this organization, and traded away #1 in Rowand, and #2 in Young. You don't trade your #1 and #2 CF in the same off-season unless you feel comfortable with the alternative, which in this case was Anderson. After 300+ AB's last season, it seems like the Sox have pretty much gave up on Anderson. No one is going to convince me that the role he is in now isn't stunting his growth. If the Sox are infact giving up on Anderson after 403 AB's, the 2005 off-season was a disaster. For a second, I was wondering if I made this post in my sleep last night. Well done!

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:09 AM) Which wont ever happen. -
Who will be the youngster next year that Ozzie doesn't give a fare chance to? My guess is Fields.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 08:22 PM) The weather hasn't exactly been ideal for a lot of offense so far this year. I wouldn't get too pissed at the lack of offense or too excited about good pitching performances yet. Yep, I was going to say the same. Danks has had some great pitching conditions so far, as has Javy.
-
Well, Tigers with another comeback. This division is too damn good for Sox to have their offense be in slumber mode for much longer.
