  1. How's he in the majors?
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) Just really bad right now. Just really bad. Ozzie talks a big game....it's time for him to do something about this terrible execution.
  3. Swinging away on 3-0 against a pitcher you're 2-22 against? THAT'S f***ING STUPID.
  4. Haha....we're so f***ing bad right now.
  5. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) A lot of teams would trade for a starter. I say trade Freddy while he still may have value and bump BMAC into the rotation. There's going to be better options on the market than Garcia.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) By the way, Ozzie, get Bmac up. Balta....you know better than that. Garcia's on the mound...he's going 6, no matter what. How can he get the win if he's not on the mound?
  7. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) There ya go. Anderson could be hitting .300 right now, and the way our starters are pitching, we'd still be on this losing skid. But that's the thing...we're not going to do anything to change our pitching. We have way too much money invested in them. Thus, we're going to have to upgrade at other positions, and a better bottom of the order can help with that.
  8. How does Garcia ever get anyone out?
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) If we only had a pitching staff with more than 2 guys under 4 in ERA. Here's the way I look at it....if our starting pitchers continue to underachieve, we don't have a chance in hell at making the playoffs.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) I want an MRI on Freddys shoulder to prove he is healthy. Last year 92-93, this year if he breaks 90 its a godsend. Freddy the control junkball pitcher, who has no control. I think he's trying his hardest tonight, and everything is 89 tops.
  11. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Freddy and his meatballs in the high 80s is the same meatballs that we have seen all year long. He has to be the only guy to lose 5 mph on this fastball, and no one at all makes a comment in the press about it. And have Ozzie threaten you? I think DJ is another home run away from going off on Garcia's approach again.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) f***ING FREDDY. WORTHLESS If only he could face the Angels and Cubs every game, he'd be fine.
  13. Good pitch by Freddy. He's not going to keep his ERA under 5 once the Cell plays small.
  14. The Tigers are crushing Garcia's hanging pitches, and we're fouling off Robertson's meatballs.
  15. Well...we couldn't be letting Robertson off the hook more if we tried.
  16. Great swing....no result. Watch the heater inside
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Paul maybe finding his stroke... He's letting it rip at the plate, which is nice to see.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:03 AM) That's the thing that's absolutely driving me nuts with this kid, he doesn't look nearly as bad at the plate IMO as his numbers show. There's no amazing mechanical flaw like there is with Uribe, he's not overstriding, he's taking pitches/taking walks, he looks like he should just need to be taught how pitchers are going to deal with him, but it seems like nothing has changed at all with him this year. I think he's worse now than he was earlier in the year. He's way too stiff at the plate. He stands straight up....a little knee bend would do him good.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) GOoch bunted? Nope, he tried to protect Pods on the steal, even though he had a huge jump. I'm not blaming Ozzie for that decision at all....it's just disturbing to keep avoiding the big inning by playing small ball.
  20. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) Are you Corey Patterson's wife? Gail Fischer?
  21. I don't care how good Robertson's been this year. He's struggling with his control tonight, and has been wild in the zone also. We've given up the first out in each inning, and Anderson fouled off some very hittable pitches.
  22. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) It's so depressing watching BA, because he's such an easy guy to root for, and you want him to do so well, but he is just so awful. I can't remember anybody being such an automatic out. No offense jphat....but when this poster is saying a player is this bad, you know he sucks.
  23. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) You don't think the poor bullpen and to a lesser extent rotation isn't the biggest difference from last year? Nope, I honestly think those issues would be lessened if we could get any sort of production from the bottom of the order. Our offense has been very good, but with a better 8-9, we'd score enough where even our pitching could hold them.
  24. Our bottom of the order = biggest difference from last year. It's a rally killer.
  25. You suck Brian
