  1. Yankees have the first two guys on. They put B. Crosby in the lineup, and he's been a huge spark for them.
  2. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) What's the formula for the Sox getting if they lose all of their remaining games? They almost definitely wouldn't make it then, with the way the Yanks and Red Sox are playing.
  3. I'm thinking the "where would he play" t-shirts could be a gold mine this offseason if they Sox miss the playoffs.
  4. It's sad when your rookie pitcher goes 6-3, and you feel like you've lost to a team with a terrible record.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) If we win 2 we are guarenteed a wild card "playoff game" unless the Yanks lose 1 and Boston wins the division right? Its confusing. If we win 2, we're guaranteed at least a play-in game. There's a very minimal, minimal chance they force a play-in game if they win one game the rest of the way. If they win 0 games the rest of the way, they might as well move the franchise.
  6. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) Just gotta hope corpseball goes away or the D-Rays can hold on for a win. We need to win some f***ing games. Rooting for the Indians to lose will do nothing to help the Sox make the playoffs. If they don't win at least 2 games the rest of the way, they won't make the playoffs.
  7. This team has no energy at all. Do they f***ing know they have 6 games left in the season?
  8. Does anyone play a lazier LF than Pods? He plays like a p*ssy out there.
  9. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) just tonights? i think we all expect that pretty much every night... sigh... you'd think that with 200 homers we'd have a better offense... but no... Yeah, but tonight's lineup is possibly the worst of the season.
  10. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) I can't even believe we're going to 7th inning having scored only 1 run against a guy with 6.94 ERA in September. You can't? I think it's what a lot of us were expecting when we saw tonight's lineup.
  11. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) i know! it's not like he's a bench player or anything! Your point?
  12. Red Sox are back to scoring more runs. Their offense has no problem knocking in guys in scoring position.
  13. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) but all he's thinking is break up the double play which he SHOULD be thinking... Not on a ball where you see the SS dive.
  14. What a terrible f***ing AB by Widger. How could he not know that an offspeed pitch was coming?
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) I LOVE THAT MOVIE. And his name was Jerry. Way past his prime.... I still can't believe that Griffey Jr. caught that ball.
  16. Everett with a piano on his back. We need a quality AB from Widger.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) lol, so now we are going to see Carl for another week. I'm sure a lot of people have seen the movie Little Big League, where the old veteran gets a seeing-eyed single, and everyone goes nuts for him.
  18. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) HR Sheff 5-3 BAL Haha, that games a long way from over.
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) 3 walks in an inning and don't even get a runner to third. You've been saying all along that we need a number 3 hitter. It's definitely been our downfall this season.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) There were a couple liners towards Pablo and than the 2 hr's. Maybe I'm watching a different game. I also see guys totally off balance on his changeup. Looks solid to me. As good as his prior outings, no, but still pretty damn good. Hawk keeps saying how hard they're hitting the ball against him. I missed the first two innings, but he seems to be up with everything tonight.
