  1. We have to be on the worst base running streak ever! This offense just sucks.
  2. Who the f*** told WCIU to use the angle behind the catcher?
  3. I have no clue how Dye took that 0-2 pitch.
  4. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) I think Freddy just got pissed off. Finally. He MUST challenge these f***s. They've made their run against a soft schedule. You cannot let them get ahead in the count. Attack, attack, attack. They've beat every team they've played lately, good or bad. This Indians team is EXCELLENT! They have no weak links.
  5. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) Yeah but our offense is to blame as well. It has been nearly non existant for the past 2 months. Minus the streak where we won 7 in a row. Our offense has been non existent basically all season. This team is where they're at because of the starting pitching. RARELY has this offense picked up the starting pitching. I wonder how many games we've won this year where our pitching allowed 5 or more runs. This is why we're an awful match-up vs these Indians now. They're swinging the bats so well, that we can't outslug them.
  6. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) This offense really does suck. I dont know why Walker is still around. CWSOX45 This has more to do with our 9 million dollar pitcher having an ERA approaching 4.75 in the 2nd half of the season.
  7. Wednesday is by far our best chance to win.
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) Here's your 9 million bucks, don't bother trying. I said this last year, and I'll say it again: When Ozzie goes, I hope this overrated non-competitor goes also.
  9. Well, this would require our first 2 run deficit comeback in nearly 50 games.
  10. Garcia is a f***ing choker. He's our 5th best starting pitcher right now.
  11. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) ain't no dead arm. it's location and his breaking ball ain't sharp. rooney and farmer said his heater is 93 or 94 For some reason, he thinks he can keep challenging Hafner with a flat fastball down the cock.
  12. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) balty 2, yanks 0 bottom 4 Devil Rays 4, BoSox 2 bottom 3 chance for this to be a good night -- but freddie better turn it up Long, long, long way to go in both of those games.
  13. Not a very promising start. Garcia putting us in an early hole was the worst thing that could have happened. We should be thankful it's not 3-0 with the junk he was throwing up there.
  14. Should have been strike 3
  15. Seen this s*** from Everett before.
  16. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) Gooch wasn't even close to catching up to that 1 He strikes out on a ton of high, hanging sliders.
  17. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) For both teams? Garcia didn't throw pitches close enough to be argued either way.
  18. Milwood's going to shove it up our ass with this strike zone. Hopefully our players will adjust and not get down 0-2 every time.
  19. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) get somebody up in the pen. garcia ain't got nuttin When both your manager and pitching coach ask if you're injured, isn't that pretty obvious the pitcher is running on fumes?
  20. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Freddy looks like he's got nothing tonite so far. Who comes in if he starts getting shellacked?? He'll have to give up 10 runs to not pitch 6 innings.
  21. Absolutely awful focus out of the box by Garcia again. We're lucky it's not 3-0 already.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) What's the logic behind that one? A psychologist would have a field day with some of the defense mechanisms I've seen by people on this board lately. My personal favorite is that the Sox have nothing to lose.

That's about as dumb as the people who think the Sox are better off not making the playoffs instead of winning the Wild Card.
  24. QUOTE(VAfan @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) The Sox have nothing to lose. And if they play like it, I think this Sox team is still destined to do something really great - win in the postseason. Because this team plays its best baseball when no one, absolutely no one, thinks they have any chance. The Sox have everything to lose the last two weeks of this season. The next 3 years of this organization could be shaped with what happens in the next 14 games.
  25. This series is a good time for two of our so-called starts, Garcia and Pods, to step up their games. It's obvious what Garcia has to do. On the other hand, Pods is finally facing a team with a poor throwing catcher. Pods has got to get his confidence back on the bases!
