  1. We're terrible. Not even jphat can find something good to say about this game.
  2. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) This post has been edited to remove objectionable material. Soxtalk encourages a free discussion between its members, but does not allow personal attacks, threats, graphic sexual material, nudity, or any other materials judged offensive by the Administrators and Moderators. Thank you. I'd watch it. You might be El Suspended.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Now Ozzie can say "Well, B-mac gace up two runs, so it doesn't matter that I started El s*** face." Wow, if he did say something along the lines that McCarthy didn't have a lot of success today, there might be a riot on soxtalk.
  4. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Ozzie will have them singing and dancing in the club house after the game irregardless. I wonder if Ozzie know they played music even when the Titanic was sinking? I just hope he goes down with the Titantic, if it does happen to sink.
  5. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) this is the worst game i've seen in a long long time. We've said that an awful lot of times lately.
  6. If it makes anyone feel better, the local media will probably be talking about the Cubs being in the wild card race (likely 5.5 games back), and will care less about the White Sox's collapse.
  7. The good news is that we should miss Santana when we play at Minnesota next wknd.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) We're just going through the motions. We need some serious help from the Twins tonight. Going through the motions at this time of the season is inexcusable.
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) We're just going through the motions. We need some serious help from the Twins tonight. Sadly, I have greater hope for a Twins win tonight than I did for the Sox game today.
  10. Lackey's just throwing fastballs down the plate now, and letting the Sox hitters get themselves out. After not having a 4 game losing streak all season, we're about to have our 2nd 4 game losing streak in about 3 weeks.
  11. Another thing that Ozzie did which I think might have hurt the psyche of this team was the whole Marte debacle on Wednesday night. There was just an awful atmosphere during that whole situation, including the booing by the fans. Even though the Sox hung on to win that game, something just didn't seem right about that situation. It kinda reminded me of the Paniagua disgrace.
  12. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Pardon. Tuesday's line up. We might score runs. Something we are unfamilair with. Well, we're facing Cy Wood and Cy Howell. Our backs are against the wall against those two superstars.
  13. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) Yeah, it's hard to turn a Hyundai into a Lexus. This offense is mediocre w/ all its components in there, and below average when a starter sits. Bingo, great analogy. I've never thought that Ozzie has done a good job at putting this team in the best chance to succeed. At what point will Hawk stop using s*** like "the big picture", and this team will realize that will be no big picture if the immediate picture isn't taken care of?
  14. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Ozzie should piss the team off tomorrow and put a line up out tomorrow like this. Lf Pods Cf Anderson RF Borchard 3b Ozuna SS Uribe 2B Iguchi 1B PK C Cassanova DH Gload Leave in Pods and Uribe because the are the only ones hitting. Leave in Iguchi because he always seems to be resting. Leave in Pods because the only other back up outfielder is Timo. I would love that lineup tomorrow. WE DON'T PLAY TOMORROW!
  15. Chone Figgins is the type of player that a lot of Sox fans believe Pods is. Figgins is so much more valuable than Podsednik though.
  16. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) I'm tired of Guillen resting our players in September. He may have rested them-- with good success-- for 4 months, but we no longer have a 15 1/2 game cushion in this division. Would it be too difficult to keep a consistent lineup for a week straight? The Indians have maintained basically the same lineup for about the last two months, and have developed tremendous offensive chemistry. We keep mixing and matching our lineup around, but the talent level is still well below average.
  17. One of my big fears all season was that when the division race got close (not once did I think the Sox would win it going away), Ozzie Guillen would have no clue what he was doing. So far, I've seen nothing that leads me to believe Ozzie has any clue in regards to keeping the Sox at the top of their game for the rest of this season. Believe me, there's nothing I want more than the Sox to make the playoffs. However, I can't imagine what Ozzie and Hawk's quotes will be like if the Sox don't make the playoffs. You're going to need all the shovels in this world to clean up that pile of bulls***.
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) 1st and 2nd with one out. That wasn't predictable now, was it?
  19. This team absolutely sucks right now.
  20. How many 3-2 counts can we just make lazy outs on because Lackey throws meatballs down the plate?
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) That's because he doesn't care that his team is losing, right? I never said that at all. I just left that comment alone, because we all knew it was silly. Iguchi is on the record saying he hates sitting games because it throws his swing off. Yet, Ozzie continues to rest him about once every 4 games now.
  22. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) But Iguchi needed a day off. Apparently Japanese players tire easily and don't care if there team is loosing. Don't forget that Iguchi struggles for a few days after he gets a day off.
  23. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) Meanwhile, Lackey is starting to cruise :sleep Nothing like the power of Pods and Willie to scare a pitcher on a 3-2 pitch. Both guys were able to work the count, only to ground out very weakly on get-me-over fastballs.
  24. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) The Sox are playing like zombies again today. Ever since the players b****ed about the attendance, they've played like crap. It's safe to say that the Tigers pitching made our hitting look good, and not the other way around.
  25. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) Don't worry about 06. KW will make changes for the better if this team fails in the playoffs................trust me It might be hard for him to make changes from the unemployment line. If the Sox fail to make the playoffs, I have a feeling he'll be the scapegoat, and not Ozzie.
