  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) It appears as though they are going with off speed. Better not hang it again.
  2. Those 88 mph inside sliders can go a long way!
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) absolute intentional walk sheff! Won't happen. You don't intentionally walk the tying run on base.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Walk Him. Maybe. If AROD hits a bomb it doens't matter. He's the clutchest hitter in the league. I like your philosophy
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) Wow, that scared me, I thought that was a bloop off the bat. No kidding. Shades of Saturday night vs Mariners!
  6. Good pitch by Cliff there. Sheffield vs Cliff's fastball = scary!
  7. Wow, that was almost a huge disaster there. Crede sure seems confident on the field, doesn't he?
  8. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) I don't think I've every seen Cotts in the 8th or 9th inning with a save opp. No save opportunities, but he's pitched plenty of 8th innings. He's better than Marte this season....no other way to put it.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) God, KC's Defense sucks. What happened?
  10. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) Cotts is a 5th-7th inning middle reliever...not a setup or closer.... Says who? He's one of the best relievers in baseball now. He's been fine in the setup role this season when given the chance.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:42 AM) Clifford has shut down righties and lefties all year long better than Neal. In a 1 run game, I'll take my chances with Cliffy. Cotts has been lights out lately, while Cliff has not been as sharp as he was earlier in the year (hard to match though). Either way, one of them should have been starting the 8th inning. Ozzie has got to learn to trust our bullpen, for better or worse.
  12. Not sure how well Politte can hold on Womack here.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) Why is dam warming up instead of Neal? Simply boggles my mind. Cotts hasn't allowed a run in 15 outings. Yet, Marte continues to get the call before him in most of the crucial situations.
  14. f***. Why would you throw him a fastball with 2 strikes? I just wish that Ozzie would have as much confidence in our bullpen as he does in our starting pitchers.
  15. My biggest fear about leaving Contreras in is the leadoff walk to Womack.
  16. Contreras in to start the 8th. I disagree with the decision....but understand it. I would have loved to see Cotts start the inning.
  17. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) The Sox have blown too many opportunities tonight. Usually that comes back to bite you. Hopefully, not tonight. Game feels like the Padres game that Hermanson blew. We had a lot of chances late in that game to put the game out of reach.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:36 AM) 1 time this year Iguchi doesn't get a runner over to 3rd and suddenly he's the enemy. We were talking about the whole game, not just that AB. And even though Iguchi fouled off a lot of pitches, it doesn't make it a great AB.
  19. Again, I love AJP in the 3rd spot! Terrible, terrible inning right there. Nothing like giving them all the momentum heading into the bottom of the 8th.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) Lack of offensive execution. Simple as that. Yep. Too many players missing cookies down the plate.
  21. The Yankees shouldn't even have a chance to be in this game right now.
  22. Wow, that was bad. Another chance at runs likely blown.
  23. A wild pitch would be real nice right here.
  24. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) I wouldn't mind a hit and run double steal or straight up double steal. Good idea, but Mr. 12-29 stealing in his Sox career scares me.
