ENOUGH OF THOMAS IN THE 3RD HOLE! He's turned into one of the most selfish hitters I've ever seen in baseball.

Wow, some ridiculous range right there by Logan.

Pods is chasing high pitches that the only thing he could do with them is fly out weakly to LF.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Is it asking too much to see a Sox hitter just try and hit a liner this inning? Thanks Juan

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) Thank the f***in stars Uribe is back. No kidding. I like Ozuna, but he would have needed a cutoff man on that throw.

Wow, Polanco was watching that ball the entire play instead of just busting his ass to first. Hawk sounded like he was ready to give up.

Man, Viz just hangs almost every slider he throws to righties. You could tell that Inge was just waiting for that pitch over the plate.

Someday, we're going to stop letting Nook beat us with the bunt. You need to play your 1b and 3b about 5 feet in on the grass to try and take that bunt away from him. Nook will be stealing here, so might want to do a pitch out.

Rowand should be in the game for defensive reasons now, and Pods goes to LF. Vizcaino is in though. We might need 10 outfielders if we hope to win.

Our offense is f***ing brutal. How many times have guys weakly grounded out on the first pitch?

With Percival being EXTREMELY slow to home, this would be a good time to use Harris as a runner.

Safe to say our hitters aren't trying to hit singles this inning? Some huge swings so far by PK and Everett.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Good thing we won last night. That is true, even though our offense has looked like absolute s*** lately. WAY, WAY too easy of outs.

Seems like if any Sox pitcher ever goes more than an inning in a game, they automatically suck the next time they pitch.

Politte faced these same hitters in last night's game. We're going to need a miracle to get out of this inning without allowing a run.

I would love to see a Sox hitter take a nice, simple swing like Polanco just did.

Polanco is doing something our hitters can't do at all: fight off tough pitches and foul them off.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) i dont know about that and frank ks PK always had good ABs against Farnsy when he was on the Cubs. PK can turn around a great fastball a lot easier than Frank can.

Come on Frank "Rob Deer" Thomas. It's becoming more obvious to me that Frank in the 3rd hole is a terrible idea with this team. It completely negates Pods ability to steal bases and get to 3rd with less than 2 outs.
-
Sox vs. Tigers 6/29/05 6:05 CST Gamethread
PK has a much better chance of hitting Farnsy than anyone else on our team.
-
Sox vs. Tigers 6/29/05 6:05 CST Gamethread
Anyone notice Frank just completely collapsing his backside on his swing?

Possibly a game saving catch by Inge out there. I have a feeling we're going to need a solo homer to win this game.

That run is on Pods and Ozzie. Not a chance in the world McCarthy should have been pitching this inning. For someone that tries so hard to get his pitchers the win, Ozzie really didn't play the percentages this inning. Did he not see McCarthy leaving everything up in the zone, resulting in numerous deep flyouts?
