  1. Average fastball velocity: 2017: 96.1 2018: 95.1 2019: 93.6 2020: 91.8
  2. Honestly, I think Ricky just wanted to get all 9 projected starters in the lineup at the same time, rest and match ups be damned.
  3. fixed that for you, the players are doing this and the players alone
  4. The Sox giving Basabe away to the Giants was a good faith move, once the Giants are ready to move him the Sox will get Cueto for cheap.
  5. Robert's gotta stop looking back, he's done that on at least a few of his SBs this year.
  6. Also, Robert missed significant time from an injury caused by a feet first slide.
  7. It's a defensive metric, so he's unsurprisingly very bad in LF. Also, like any defensive metric you need larger sample sizes for them to be of true use.
  8. Moncada and Robert are so talented that they've made Eloy almost underappreciated, he's become one of the absolute most destructive forces in the game, his updated statcast numbers are nuts. And check out that sprint speed, not terrible!
  9. Fall Guys is really fun, free on PS+ this month and it's taken over Twitch.
  10. That is a pretty funny thing to say about a guy with a 10.2% BB rate, I mean he's striking out a lot but it's hard to blame him when he's a 23 year old rookie seeing sliders low and away 34.2% of the time and the team wants him to have an aggressive approach since that's when he's most dangerous.
  11. Robert's MLB/AL ranks among rookies: WAR: 1.0 (1st/1st) OWAR: 6.0 (1st/1st) (just ahead of Kyle Lewis) DWAR: 2.1 (1st/1st) (by almost double) AVG: .364 (4th/2nd) (Kyle Lewis ahead in AL) OBP: .429 (3rd/1st) SLG: .568 (5th/2nd) (Kyle Lewis again) wOBA: .431 (5th/2nd) (Kyle Lewis) wRC+: 188 (4th/2nd) (Kyle Lewis) SB: 4 (1st/1st) HR: 2 (2nd/2nd) (Kyle Lewis has 3) Robert's .500 BABIP is obviously unsustainable (though he'll likely always have a high BABIP) but Kyle Lewis is at .577 and doesn't have nearly the speed. NOTE: some of the NL rookies ahead of Robert and Lewis have only played 6 or 7 games while they've played 11 and 12 respectively, qualification is all fucked up this year.
  12. You not being able to think of something interesting isn't much of an excuse for misleading people into thinking there was actual news or a rumor in the thread.
  13. Neither of you know what you're doing with thread titles, I added the "speculation" to this one because the original was so misleading.
  14. Colome was nasty as hell last night, let's see if he brings the same juice.
  15. Robert now slashing .364/.429./.568/.997
  16. Wow, didn't know Hiura could do that
  17. Luis Robert is slashing .357/.426/.571 after that walk.
