5/18 White Sox @ Twins 6:40 PM
I'm pretty sure he bats shitty players like Lamb at the top of the lineup to get them as many ABs as possible to knock off that rust, which is doubly funny.

Madrigal.
He tends to make weak contact early in the count, therefore he does not go deep into counts which is what one poster implied, I corrected him. I never said he sucked, those are your words.

And that's a 16-4 White Sox winner!
This, to me, is one of the keys. The entire point of the eephus pitch is to fool and embarrass the batter but inducing a big whiff, I don't give a shit if he's a position player or it's a 3-0 count, turn about is fair play.

We have a lot of new posters, there's going to be new people making game threads, it's a word of advice. People have thoughts about the game hours in advance of game time, we must give them a place to express themselves.

It's what I think whenever I hear his name, years of reading the futuresox board.- 5/17 White Sox (Keuchel) v. Twins (Happ) Thread
It's amazing what removing Abreu does to the lineup. At least Dickman has good at bats breaking up the Leury/Hamilton duo.- PSA: Post Your Game Threads Early
Quick PSA for the board: post your game threads early in the day, do not wait for lineups or for the late afternoon, we need a place to discuss the day's game, you have dibs, get the game thread out there. Anyway, Abreu is not in the lineup.- Madrigal.
He hasn't displayed an ability to work the count yet, he's seeing 3.68 pitches per plate appearance, MLB average is 3.95. His ability to make weak contact on any pitch is going to be a detriment when it comes to working counts. It's one of the reasons, along with his startling lack of power that he's not a good fit for the top of the lineup.- 5/13: Minnesota @ Chicago White Sox 1:10 PM CDT

Also, props to Bennetti for calling out the bunt for what it was. Most announcers don't do that to the home manager. - 5/17 White Sox (Keuchel) v. Twins (Happ) Thread
