  1. QUOTE(GoArow33 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) Dear Soxtalk, Thank you for answering my question. I am just as much of a White Sox fan as each and every one of you, I just don't post my insights here each and every day of the week. Does that mean that I should be treated like a common moron that's panicking and upset because I believe Konerko is leaving. I don't even know if Paul will be back or not. I cried when we finally won the World Series after so many years of buying season tickets. That's 26 seasons in a row that I've bought season tickets. I've devoted myself to this team since I was born years ago. And you treat me like this? Thank you for the trash talk. How about trying to be mature here. The only one who doesn't seem to be enjoying the World Series win is you. You're the only one who's mad here. I just asked a question. I love the Sox and they are always on my mind. I was just trying to see what other fans are thinking about in a possible scenario where we lose Pauly. I do not appreciate your brashness towards my topic. If you think I'm an idiot, you're sorely mistaken. I'm a White Sox fan. And I won't be posting here anymore because you don't seem to treat your own kind well around here. Goodbye. If it makes up feel any better, Addy probably would have made the same comments had I started this topic and I have 15 posts per day. I don't think the fact that you don't post often on this board had much to do with his decision to make that post.
  2. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 06:29 PM) who cares? we have the big hurt back, and that makes me very happy. That is far from a certainty.
  3. QUOTE(rangercal @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) If you don't like the tread. STAY AWAY
  4. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 05:35 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-d...ov=ap&type=lgns Wow, is Lawton the first player to actually admit to taking steroids intentionally? He took horse steroids! Jorge Piedra admitted to taking steroids.
  5. QUOTE(bighurt2719 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 11:19 PM) el duque in the pen? i dont know, thats a lot of money for a set up guy, since we got such a great pen already. El Duque will either be traded or more likely he'll be used in the Long relief role next year which is something we really didn't have for a good portion of the season. Also he'll be the 6th starter.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) Awesome comeback. Did anybody keep thinking of Arizona/Illinois as it was unfolding? Anyway, even with the win, this team has some problems. Size is gonna be an issue all season long. We just don't have a lot of it. We got pushed around for most of the game. And, low post scoring is also gonna be a problem. Unless Sweetney can provide that consistently, we're gonna live and die by the jumpshot. I'd say there's a major difference between the two.
  7. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Call it aiding the opposition or whatever, but if one of the wingnuts here doesn't start using this baby in their sig or avatar, then they seriously dropped the ball. With love, from a Liberal Pussy. That pic is so 2004.
  8. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Does anybody think the Bulls can take the division this year. This isn't a serious question, is it?
  9. wow, seriously did not see this comming.
  10. Ben makes his first appearance of the year after Du picks up 2 quick fouls.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Am I the only one who thinks the Bulls take a step back this year and miss the playoffs with about 35 wins? No, this team is going to seriously struggle on the offensive end. It could translate to a long season.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 06:54 PM) This doesn't make sense anymore.
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:27 AM) Yep, and Josh Howard is really gonna emerge this season. Man wasn't that a great draft choice a couple of years ago. IIRC, he was like the 31st player chosen. 29th
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) I'd say our chances of signing Brian Giles would be less than 1% right now. And the chances of Ross Gload being around in 2007, let alone 2006, aren't that high either. I'd absolutely have to agree on Giles. The guy will be on the Padres next year. The Sox would never top $10M+ to pry him away from Kevin Towers.
  15. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) I read blogs, not tabloids... get it straight. Yeah, surfing the "blogosphere" is so much more masculine than reading "the Enquirer". :rolly
  16. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) Leo daigle!1?!1?!1?omgwtfl0l3rZ!1?!1?!1?!1? I didn't even know we had lost the rights to him. A lot of people around here are gonna be heart broken, Daigle had a colt following, for whatever reason.
  17. I wasn't even aware that they were a couple. Maybe I should start reading the tabloids more, like qwerty.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:55 PM) What are you implying?? That I go to class? Do you even go to SIU anymore? Figure they'd kick you out after missing so many classes.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:52 PM) Ha, I wish I had sources. Just read that quote from Kenny, began to think about it and it just kind of clicked and made sense to me. I do something smart once every 9 years so let me be. Hey, I gave you your props numerous times. Now only if you could concentrate this intelligence and put it to good use . . .
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) By far the most intelligent thing I've ever done. I'm still conviced you had some outside help.
