  1. I would of waited 1 more year to sign AR
  2. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) I second that. Please explain why he was no trade value. Guy cannot get on base at all, you may trade him for someone else's disappointment not much more.
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) Now that Kenny has devoted himself to the "New Look White Sox," who on the current roster is expendable and proves valuable in the trade market? Whether it was the inability to snag Omar Vizquel, the trade of Carlos Lee, or the surprise signing of El Duque and Pierznski, the future of the White Sox has become painfully obvious. The White Sox we have been accustomed to over the past 2-4 years may no longer fit the dynamic of this ball club. Who, in your best judgment, is expendable? Do we have players on this roster that would undoubtedly bring a nice return in the trade market? Do we have players on this roster that would qualify as a salary dump? I ask these questions because I have identified at least two members of the Sox that would best serve this ball club in the trade market. 1. Cliff Politte. I believe with the addition of Dustin Hermanson and Louis Vizcaino and the improvement of both Cotts and Adkins, Politte no longer plays a necessary role in the bullpen of 2005 and beyond. Politte, a right-handed set-up/long reliever has found his match in Dustin Hermanson. Hermanson can set-up, provide long relief, and spot-start. Although you could never have too many strong arms in the bullpen, I believe Politte would best serve this team in a trade for either a middle infielder, a young IF prospect, or a younger arm for the bullpen. If the Sox prove to be contenders in 2005, look for Politte to draw heavy interest around the trade deadline. 2. Willie Harris. I will try to make this claim with no anti-Willie bias. With the addition of a middle infielder on the horizon, does Willie become a necessity in 2005? IMO, he does not. I believe trading Willie Harris could be rather productive for the Sox. Many clubs out there have a need for speedy, rangey middle infielders, and I think many of those clubs would overpay. Why? I don't know. Anyone that has watched Willie play on a day-to-day basis like we have over the past few seasons knows Willie remains one of the biggest question marks on this club. Do we have a legit, everyday starting second baseman or do we have an average glorified pinch-runner? It seems both Ozzie and Kenny don't like Harris and I think he stands just as good a chance as anybody in terms of getting dealt. Have at it fellas. Who can/should be dealt? Nobody wants worthless Harris he has NO trade value at all.
  4. I agree 100 % QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) There was a thread about this on WSI, I'm not sure who reported DJ isn't going to be there though. I like DJ, but would love to see Stone, in the booth.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) Yeah, how could 70 steals possibly help this team in the leadoff spot SB # strickly inflated by increased ab's and nothing more do not get to dam excited with one stat.
  6. As much as we need a reciever another Mich rec scares the hell out of me.
  7. Sooner or later KW is going to realize a 300 obp for a leadoff man is not helping the team any.
  8. BB not wanting a .500 pitcher with a whiny attitude and a soft tosser in JG is no shock to me, teams around the league loathe JG.
  9. ARZ will not take JC at all.
  10. Welcome to the right side of town............................
  11. Both sides are losers and thought general public would care truth is 90% do not, i fall in 10%.
  12. Sorry If I am not excited about OH multiple reasons why. 1. Has only thrown over 150 innings 1 time since 2000. 2. Only 3 of his 15 starts were against over.500 teams last year. 3. Arm trouble again in October raises more health questions. 4. 39 really is probably older. 5. Yes 8-2 but only 84 innings pitched in 2004.
  13. No way a 39 year old pitcher is going to start 25 times a season the next 2 years, KW overpaid not that OH will not help when healthy for stretches his arm was hurt at end of last year and sit out most year in Montreal with arm troubles but not over the long haul. I hope this is not all KW does for starting pitchers.
  14. This guy will never make full year not hurt , KW quit signing basement people every yr.
  15. If this happens thereis NO defending dumbass KW get used to scoring 1 run a night folks.
  16. I have always been a Crede supporter but 2005 he has to show some real progress or get ready for Fields.
