Honestly he's a prime typical Twins player, just with a lot more talent than the Punto, Bartlett, etc back in the day. Although Nick Punto was the clubhouse Ping Pong champ apparently.
Why not start Dyson more in right if Ricky wants a left handed batter? Better defense than Mazara, as of now probably a better hitter, same amount of power, and a faster baserunner. Makes too much sense.
I get giving the top 3 positions to the division winners, that way there's still something to play for. Maybe I can even understand having at least 2 teams from each division get in because of the strange schedule this season. But what I don't understand is why they aren't going by record for seeds 4-8. Seems very odd.
Two decades ago I get it, but many of the Twins players in 2000 were pissed watching the Sox celebrate the division and say they used it as motivation over the following years. Still I want to make them watch the Sox celebrate lol.
