  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 08:58 PM) What a f***ing joke. Ned Yost is the worst f***ing manager ever. Why let Jones face a righty when you have a good lefty in the bullpen. Like I said earlier, it's Cardinals or bust right now. that sad part is, I'm not much of a Cardinals fan either. I'm obviously more of a Cards fan than a Cubs fan, but still I wish it was the Brewers getting on fire.
  2. dang this isn't good. the Cubs are getting Minnesota Twins comebacks recently.
  3. lol Bob Uecker said root for the Brewers during the 7th inning stretch since that's his team and they all got pissed.
  4. at least Podsednik has 0% in the voting. Show's how much they know.
  5. I hope he makes an out. Bill Hall is up right now, he's my hero, he better do something good.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 11:42 AM) Someone started a thread on it like a week or two ago here...not sure it was even anything worth classifying as a rumor. it was more of a suggestion than a rumor
  7. so is the Fields to shortstop rumor completely dead? Because I'll be damned if Uribe is back. He continues to get worse and worse batting each year.
  8. 2nd year in a row for me living with the same guy, but we're supposed to have a 3rd person. Last year the two of us were in a dorm room, now, unless the 3rd person comes, we'll be in a place probably 6 times bigger than our dorm room. As long as the rent keeps getting paid from the missing 3rd party, I could care less if he shows up for not.
  9. I don't like seeing all the home runs either, for me, there's not much left for this season so I'm keeping track of the number of homers. If we were winning I could care less. In 2005 we ended up with 200 exactly and I didn't care at all, because we had a good team.
  10. I hate seeing Mussina struggle like this.
  11. I really like Granderson, he plays hard. I hope he gets the record.
  12. It's going to be awfully tough to do this. Dye and Konerko are going to have to each get 8 homers each putting them at 34 apiece, Fields also would have to get 8 homers putting him at 25, Thome would have to go on a terror to hopefully get 500 homers this year, putting him at 28, Uribe would have to somehow manage to get 5, Peirzynski would have to have 5 more too. Dye 34 Konerko 34 Thome 28 Fields 25 Uribe 20 Peirzynski 18 That equals 159, we also have 16 homers from Mackowiak, Iguchi, and Crede which would get us 175. Then the rest of the team right now only has 16 homers which would only get us to 191. It doesn't look likely even if all of our top 6 players get on fire in the last month.
  13. well since this season is all but over, the Sox have 150 homers after today's game, they have 31 more games to get 50 more homers to reach 200 for I believe what would be the 8th straight year. Think they'll get it?
  14. I still don't like the guy and I have a hard time forgetting the uncalled for plowing of Jamie Burke.
  15. I'll believe it when I see it too.
  16. lol the 8 and 9 batters with 7 RBI's each. Funny to think the Buehrle no hit the Rangers earlier this year.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) It's the first game of a doubleheader also. haha which means if they're anything like the Sox they'll score 1 run the next game.
  18. unbelievable for the Rangers, scoring 30 striaght runs.
  19. that sound off of Fields' bat sounded awesome.
