  1. 15 bucks is pretty good. I should consider getting it.
  2. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) I think I have to wipe a tear from my eye. I never thought I'd see the day that this would get posted. lol it's an instant classic.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) You know it...but luckily an unrelated Ray is gonna be a hell of a White Sox. Ray did a nice job in eight men out though lol yeah. I haven't seen Eight Men Out for a long time. Was he in that too? I know he was in Field of Dreams.
  4. I love it when people hit for the cycle. We need another one to do it soon. Who do you guys think has the best shot for the Sox? I'd say either Uribe or Podsednik.

    2 Spot

I guess I started the year wanting Rowand to bat in the 2nd spot. I think it's too early to tell who should bat where, but right now we've gotten wins with this lineup, why change it.
  6. I suppose I'd change it if I was required to. But I like knightni's work still.
  7. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) This is two days in a row with this kind of an article. That's not to mention the continuing posts on sox fans sites about valentin, Lee and ordonez. It's getting kind of pathetic I guess we either miss them or are glad they're gone. Most people will take the latter.
  8. That's idiotic in my opinion just get rid of pink jerseys just because of that. I suppose we better start getting rid of the yellow jerseys for prostate cancer. Plain rediculous.
  9. I'd be very satisfied if he played 4 more seasons
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) First time in the history of the USA that a President has attended a Popes funeral. Now we send 3 and it isn't enough. lol how ironic.
  11. lol that-a-way Billy!!!! Never heard that one before.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) I know, that's why I'm getting in my laughs and screenshots of his 108 ERA...because he will get last laugh. lol me too. Although I thought Winn was safe at first which could have made it a bigger inning but oh well.
  13. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) I am not much for the no power Lee. He was hitting like Lyle Mouton at that point. I prefer to see the 300-30-100 Lee. Not that it matters much these days lol Lyle Mouton, didn't Hawk used to call him something like Big Swing? But anyways, that guy brings back a few memories. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he's playing on a big league team anymore, idk about anything else though.
  14. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) You're right, there are exceptions. Let me rephrase. How many guys have been detrimental to teams that have reached the finals (Jason Kidd), and how many would be detrimental if they were on deep teams (Grant Hill)? Guys like Paxson and Longley have started on championship teams, but that doesn't mean that they were major contributors. McKie was the 6th man on the 2000 Half Ratliff/Half Dikembe 76ers. Yeah I see what you're saying and I agree with you. I should probably have rephrased my first comment about them being good. I was meaning that they were decent, but a lot more was expected out of them. They as a whole were underachievers. But at the time of them coming out of college, I don't remember them getting called one of the worse classes in history.
  15. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) The 1994 Draft was horrendous....easily one of the worst ever. Outside of Jason Kidd and Brian Grant, you just can't find any defense. Put it this way. How many players from this draft have appeared in the finals as starters, or are capable of starting for a championship squad? Players (in their prime) who could start on a championship squad marked in bold: Round 1 1 MIL Glenn Robinson Purdue 2 DAL Jason Kidd California 3 DET Grant Hill Duke 4 MIN Donyell Marshall Connecticut 5 WA1 Juwan Howard Michigan 6 PHI Sharone Wright Clemson 7 LAC Lamond Murray California 8 SAC Brian Grant Xavier (OH) 9 BOS Eric Montross North Carolina 10 LAL Eddie Jones Temple 11 SEA Carlos Rogers Tennessee State 12 MIA Khalid Reeves Arizona 13 DEN Jalen Rose Michigan 14 NJN Yinka Dare George Washington 15 IND Eric Piatkowski Nebraska 16 GSW Clifford Rozier Louisville 17 POR Aaron McKie Temple 18 MIL Eric Mobley Pittsburgh 19 DAL Tony Dumas Missouri-Kansas City 20 PHI B.J Tyler Texas 21 CHI Dickey Simpkins Providence 22 SAS Bill Curley Boston College 23 PHO Wesley Person Auburn 24 NYK Monty Williams Notre Dame 25 LAC Greg Minor Louisville 26 NYK Charlie Ward Florida State 27 ORL Brooks Thompson Oklahoma State Glenn Robinson and Juwan Howard are good for laughs, and not much else. Drafting those players is a good way to get stuck in suck mode. As already said, Charlie Ward was one when New York made the finals. I also believe Aaron McKie was a starter for Philly when they made the finals, if he wasn't, he was the 6th man. And had the Jazz made the finals again, Marshall would've been their starter, but they didn't make it.
  16. As of the begining of this year, 13 out of 27 were still in the league. I don't think that's too bad. I'm just saying that out of college, it looked like it should have been a very good class, but when you have guys that don't pan out like Montress and Wright that never panned out.
  17. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) This is odd. A show of hands - How many think she went of her own free will and this was their "story" if he ever got caught? to tell you the truth, I was wondering the same thing.
  18. That 94-95 draft class was supposed to be really good. Though they are good, they haven't really lived up to the expectations. Robinson was the first pick and he's had a good career, but they probably expected better. Kidd's been doing fine. Donyell Marshall was either the 3rd or 4th pick and while he's been decent, I'm sure the T-Wolves expected more out of him. Juwan Howard was the 5th pick and his career started off pretty good. But since then it's been down hill. And speaking of Hill, Grant Hill started off great, then had a series of injuries, but is finally back and performing.
  19. I remember the Anaheim game in 2003 where Frank hit 2 home runs, I think one was also a walk off. That was cool. But yeah, we usually never play well on Sunday night, and we're also playing a team we haven't had much sucess with and we play them on the road. It's not baring too well right now. But other than that, we should do fine.
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Click on the link in my sig and read Carl's Sports Illustrated article. It's worth it for the laughs. lol that is funny.
  21. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) Carl was quoted back in Boston saying because of his beliefs, he doubts Dinosaurs ever existed. That's the short version. OK thanks.
  22. I'm just hoping that his foot isn't a lingering problem through out the season.
  23. I love good stories like this.
