QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) All he said is that he's a pull hitter, big deal. Maybe he meant he's a lot more comfortable, or it's more natural for him to pull the ball, than to go opposite field. I bet that's true for most hitters. It's not like he said, he's never gonna gonna try to go to the opposite field. In fact, he said the opposite. You got it

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) Am I the only one who thinks what he said was not horrible? Crucified for being honest? Sorry, it doesn't turn me into a hater. I'm sick and tired of athletes who are fakes, phonies, outright liars, as well as those who issue cookie-cutter answers. Tell it like it is IMO. So he's a pull-hitter and isn't hiding from the fact. Perhaps his swing adjustment (for which he ALSO got crucified) was trying to help him add further dimensions to his swing. It obviously hasn't worked out.

Frank was the sole reason I became a White Sox fan in the early- to mid-90s. Since then I've had other "weekly", "monthly", and even "yearly" favorites, but Frank has always been my overall favorite. Buehrle is definitely my favorite non-position player, but Frank is still The Man in all other facets of the team.

I never thought I'd see another 3/4 performance from PK, he was really giving me strong doubts. Glad to see he's still got it in him. The rest of the team was awesome too!

I knew Garland had a good shot of being the only 8-0 pitcher last night. I saw a stat about D-Train saying he was 0-2 vs. the Dodgers with an ERA over 15! They jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but Dontrelle kept them off the board after that. Then Florida came back and scored 3 runs to make it a nailbiter. At worst he would've gotten an ND, but I much prefer the way it turned out

LOL Well I was actually trying to point out that it was a feat that hasn't been accomplished by a Sox pitcher in 70 years. Blame it on a poor choice of words.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 17, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) Things have been getting a lot dumber lately, I don't know what the f*** is causing it. I'd say it's one of two things: 1. Overzealousness because the Sox are the best team in the majors, or 2. Major bouts of depression when the best team in baseball loses a game People should take a cue from the athletes - don't get too high from a win or too low from a loss. Celebrate (or suck it up) and move on!

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 17, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) Thought so, but there has been enough stupid comments on here lately that you cannot be sure. Not implying you. Couldn't agree with you more, on both statements

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 17, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) You cannot be serious. I didn't think the green was needed - pretty obvious, right? Right? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???

Now that's VERY select! Congrats again Jon!

QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ May 17, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) Hmm, with 11000 posts and a dumbass reply like that, I'd say he's either a spammer or a troll, or both. My guess is the latter

Great win tonight Sox! Awesome job JON Garland, Damaso, and Hermy (except for those two walks)! Rock on!

Could it be so? No, really, honestly, true? Pauly with a single? Was it a beautiful sight to behold? -
Hey guys, if you haven't or don't, please keep checking our league's message board. We've been conversing a lot there (like we should). We're abandoning the draft because it would mean the one who plays vs. Pierz will go 18-0 for that week since we can't delete or remove his empty team. Reddy has given the players back to Pierz's team and he will control it, with league voting if/when necessary.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 17, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) He has the worst grammar ever and he knows it. LOL Well, I wasn't trying to be rude or anything

Chisoxfn: Nice read. Especially for us "out-of-towners" who can't get the grit and gristle of what happens behind the White Sox scenes, articles like this help us to know more about the organization as a whole, from the minor league affiliates to the big league club. Let me ask you something though, and I really hope you don't take offense to this because my intention is only to try to make it even better than it already is. Do you have an editor or proofreader? If not, I'd like to offer to do the editing and/or proofreading for your articles. LMK what you think.

In previous years that would most likely have been Lee batting 6th. How many wanna bet the inning would have ended right there?
-
I bet Hawk's Sox-patch is a-quiver after that one
-
AJ!!!! 4-1 Sox!!!
-
Sacks packed with Sox. Pierz up, 2 outs. C'mon AJ!!! We're all behind you!

This is how the bottom of the first SHOULD GO: Pods singles. Steals 2nd. Willie sacrifices him to 3rd. ARow brings Pods in on a ground rule double. Kong smacks a 2 run HR. Everett and Pierz single, runners at the corners. Aaaaand Crede GIDPs, Pierz out at second End of 1, 3-1 Sox.
