  1. So pretty much any ball lifted into the outfield is "he just missed it" to Hawk.
  2. I am amazed that a horses*** pitching staff continues to make our team look like garbage. Years of guys with era's north of 5 looking like Cy young.
  3. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) Maybe it's time to consider Rios for the 3 spot with Dunn 4, Konerko 5. Our manager let a pitcher bark in the dugout and he allowed him to start the 8th. Konerko isn't moving from the spot until he falls over dead.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 01:48 PM) Poor Rios, he has to leadoff a lot of innings. I can't remember the last time Konerko barreled up a ball. After this season we will get reports of how hurt Konerko is and what a trooper he proved to be. Meanwhile a little rest might mean he gets a bit better. Bu
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 08:53 PM) Except for the rare night we drill their horrendous starting pitching, they give us a game every time. Don't know why we can't hammer their lousy pitching nightly. Because this team for years has had a mentality of playing to thir competition. It's the lack of a killer instinct by our team. The belief that there is always another day, until they run out.
  6. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 08:35 PM) this loss is all on jake! Sure because our starting pitching cant give up 4 runs with the vaunted kc pitching on the bump.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 08:01 PM) They really have to consider demoting him. At this point, it's doing no one any good by having him failing so much in the majors. He is a good defensive catcher and rarely plays. There is no reason to demote him. He should be playing only against lefties but he seems to be peavy's personal catcher.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) Hochevar dominating with one pitch tonight. Need a bloop and a blast to tie it up. He dominated us earlier in the year.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 07:12 PM) Would you trade Chris Sale and Beckham for Sal Perez and Danny Duffy (I realize Duffy is hurt). I think Perez is gonna be special. Only if you are on drugs.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:13 AM) We do not lose to Everett Teaford. That does not happen. I still remember when one of the orioles pitchers dominated us after getting torched for an 8 era. Then he got released after his following start when he got destroyed again.
  11. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:10 AM) Ugh, great execution all around there. Well hopefully someone runs into one before the law of averages gets to Axelrod.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:05 AM) Broadway lost us a game in KC once His motion is pretty much a dead ringer for Felix Diaz.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:04 AM) Way to walk their fastest guy, Mr. Independent League He has that Lance Broadway vibe.
  14. We need to win this game. We keep supplying the Royals with their walk off moments.
  15. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 11:54 PM) Sulk more, Konerko. The suicide shrug.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 11:50 PM) terrible game against a terrible team. We need to figure out how to destroy crappy teams like this.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 11:45 PM) Reed can't put anyone away. You would have thought his fastball be stronger after the break. For a guy who has a cross armed slider we don't let him throw it a lot.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 11:41 PM) Sure seems like he should have been playing deeper. Reed has got to become more than just a fastball pitcher. All of our relievers becomes fastball only late in games. They are not calling their own pitches.
  19. Nice to see Fernando represents with his hat cocked just like white suburban kids all over the US.
  20. So now we get 4 games of the world series to feature an automatic out and the nullification of the 8th hitter as well. Awesome
  21. Didn't even realize that AAAA was in at first for the NL.
  22. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 10, 2012 -> 09:08 PM) That was pretty cool how they barely even acknowledged that Sale was on the mound. Talked about Chipper and RA Dickey the whole half inning. Production crew even gave close-ups of Sale to spark conversation, and nothing. Solid work, FOX, promote the players we all already know, and keep quiet about the budding superstars that are unknown to most of the fans. They were captivated by Harpers shoes in the on deck circle. The only thing he is missing is the lights on impact like the toddlers have.
